Job Description

• Supports the project director and AECOM project management team on site in overall monitoring of construction activities on site. This includes but is not limited to:

Drives the contractor's works in conjunction with AECOM's planners and activity forecasts.

Monitors the contractor's manpower, efficiencies, deployment of cranes, vehicles and equipment and proposes solutions for the betterment of the construction programme.

Responsible for upholding all health and safety regulations on site in conjunction with the AECOM team, the contractor and all other stakeholders on site.

Meets on a daily basis with the contractor and reviews work sequences and proposes improvements.

May at times lead toolbox talks to aid the contractor.

Reports back the AECOM project director on progress in relation to work packages, disciplines and trades.

Works alongside the contractor and supervision consultant to ensure quality is being upheld at all times.

Produces activity lookaheads to aid the AECOM project management team in pre-empting and anticipating works due to take place.

Provides input into upcoming authority approvals and inspections.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management

Minimum 10 years experience of which 5 years in the UAE
