AnchorNAS Dubai is a purpose built ‘flagship school’ generously resourced with an enrolment of over 2300.Our curriculum is based upon the legacy of the English National Curriculum adapted to the local environment leading up to GCSE and on to the IB Diploma programme, and A Levels introduced last year. Our GCSE 2022 results significantly surpasses the world average, with 71% of students achieving A**-A, 9-7 (World Average 27.6%). IB results are equally as impressive with 40% over 40 points and perfect scores of 45 every year.
The culture of the school is one of interest and care where learning is personalised to meet individual needs. The annual inspection judgments are ‘very good’ and ‘outstanding’ throughout.
The role
You will be providing personalised support on a 1:1 and small group basis with secondary students aged between Year 7 and Year 11.
The ideal candidate
To be considered for this position, you must have:
experience of providing core subject support to secondary aged students (Years 7 – 11)
experience of supporting students with special educational needs or learning difficulties e.g planning and delivering small group and 1:1 support sessions for students with dyslexia or learning difficulties
previous and relevant experience of working as a Learning Support Assistant or secondary teacher
previous experience of working within the British curriculum across secondary to GCSE/IGCSE level
relevant qualifications
a good rapport with young people
a genuine passion for education
strong interpersonal skills
a friendly and professional manner
strong English skills – spoken and written
The school has high standards for its students and is looking for someone who thrives towards maintaining high academic attainment. The ideal candidate will be confident and successful in teaching students who have learning difficulties and who have followed the UK National Curriculum. The candidate’s experience should include working with secondary aged students across the core subject areas. The candidate will be required to prepare and deliver one-to-one tutorials and small group teaching sessions for secondary aged students. The ability to work alongside other stakeholders to enhance student participation is paramount for this role. The candidate will be supporting students, teachers and parents to develop personalised educational plans (PEPs) and develop the provision according to the student’s specific needs.
The candidate will work alongside the school SENCO as well as a small and friendly Personalised Learning team.
Only candidates with the relevant experience and qualifications will be shortlisted for interview.
Remuneration will be competitive.

This is a full-time vacancy, starting from 2nd January 2023
