Job Description
The Head of Colleague Experience is an on/off-boarding specialist and is the primary point of contact for and provides critical support to candidates, new joiners, colleagues, hiring managers, internal HR teams and business stakeholders to provide an excellent and best in class colleague journey.
They are responsible for ensuring timely execution and completion of a seamless workflow for each colleague.
In order to be considered for this role you will be / be able to:
Welcoming newly hired colleagues and executes the engagement plan throughout the onboarding journey; manages the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring a great experience for new colleagues and a smooth start into their roles
Working closely with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to colleague
Responsible personally for the on and off boarding of executive hires and their dependants
Prepare and distribute onboarding welcome packs
Lead the collaborations with DTD, PRO teams and is responsible for ensuring Accommodation, Transportation and Uniform needs are met for all colleagues and the experience is exemplary
Create clear policies and colleague handbooks that explain company operations in relation to the colleague journey
Create and sends communication with information about the company, onboarding agenda, equipment handover, dress code, benefits, and similar items
Is a subject matter expert and makes recommendations on how to improve process efficiency
Develop an automated processes within the colleague journey
Ensure compliance with all processes and always maintains a high level of confidentiality
Challenge status quo and proactively identifies process improvements
Identify innovative and creative new ways to on and off board colleagues reach a more scalable and measurable colleague experience
Support the HR Leadership teams and HRBP’s in reviewing HR SOPs, policies, forms, and reference documents with the aim to provide exceptional services to Colleagues
Manage colleague departures by collaborating with the HR Services teams to facilitate exit documentation, visa cancellation procedures and final settlement calculations
Support the delivery of colleague engagement activities being organized by the wider HR team
Mentor team members to encourage personal development and career progression, identify and address knowledge gaps, upskill where necessary to ensure the highest levels of service and quality
Provide support and information to other HR functions and other departments as required
In addition to the above you should have the following:
Qualifications:
Essential:
Degree or Diploma in HR or Business Management
Desirable:
CIPD qualification
Years of Experience:
Essential:
7 years HR experience
Experience in managing teams
Desirable:
Proven history of progression in various HR disciplines, HR Shared Services, Team Management, and operational hospitality/leisure/guest service experience
UAE Labor Law knowledge
Skills:
Essential:
Ability to work successfully and professionally with all levels of colleagues and leadership
Ability to understand technical concepts and explain them in simple terms
Ability to troubleshoot, identify improvements, and make simple decisions independently
Strong attention to detail with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at once
Strong team player with a result driven approach and who can work with limited guidance
Energetic person with strong interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening
Strong work ethic (reliable) with “can do” and collaborative attitude
Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Suite
Proficiency in HR capital management systems
Requirement to be comfortable working across multiple sites
Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal
Excellent computer skills to include MS Excel skills
Desirable:
Multiple language skills would be an advantage
Analytical skills
