About the role
As a Branding and Graphics Design Specialist, you will be responsible to provide specialist support in assisting in the various processes and development of design and service concepts, product evaluation, recommendation for the specified areas by providing detailed design solutions for Product Development & Design sponsored departments such as Infight, Lounge and other Subsidiary areas within Qatar Airways. You will also support the design team in defining requirements, visualizing and creating designs and products. In addition, you will be responsible to create images that can be used in various forms of media using software and hand-rendering of design products that reflect the corporate identity and brand image of Qatar Airways.
Other key responsibilities are:
Assist the Manager Product Design and Branding with design requirements as needed, including photo editing.
Maintain awareness of current design trends and influences with competitor airlines and benchmarking the same by employing colors, typography, illustration, photography, various print and layout techniques when designing for assigned projects.
Develop concepts, graphics and layouts as required in the department ensuring that the Brand and design fundamentals are preserved, along with being creative.
Prepare hand mockups and / or prototypes using specialist computer software “computer-aided design” technology to illustrate concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, typography size and style, and related aesthetic concepts for Branding and design requirements as well as product design development for Qatar Airways and subsidiaries on special requests.
Develop and check product specification document reflecting how the product will need to be produced by suppliers and used for costing purposes
Develop and check Final Artwork of all design concepts developed for the department
Perform photo editing, digitally enhance images to deliver to the imagery requirements as needed.
Define project requirements such as project timelines, schedules, type of media and quantity of deliverables pertaining to scheduled assignment.
Preparing and proofreading proposals to the Line Manager and Senior Management to receive approvals and feedback on the amendments to be made before finalising art work.
Liaise work flow with the design team members such as other Design Specialist and Equipment Specialist in order to assist in the initiation of design elements for relevant areas.
Manage progress of assigned project task from initial design stage to implementation.
Support the design team in managing with tenders relevant to product designs being developed.
Provide progress reports on all projects and deliver samples to be used for reviews and proposals to the Management.

Qualifications
About You
We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join the Product Development & Design Team.
Bachelor’s Degree
4+ years of graphic design or product experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly creative, well organized, should possess the ability to work collaboratively, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
Well versed with design trends and style.
Well skilled in Adobe software – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
Good photo editing skills.
