You as a Financial Controller, Hub APMEA BU Transformers will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dubai, UAE. You will be senior business controller in the Hub and member of the Hub management team. You will be supporting the Hub manager in development and implementation of the BU and Hub strategy. Leading Hub controlling, risk management and business process optimization.
Your responsibilities
Taking responsible for business planning, performance monitoring and timely actions to align the business to changes in industry and markets.
Continuously driving for cost reductions, productivity increases in the Hub (COPQ, SG&A).
Defining of short-, medium and long-term performance targets in line with BU; Continuously analyzing of business performance versus budget and forecast.
High quality of all Hub and Local unit reporting and business information. Hub Strategy process and strategy development in the Hub management team; implementation and follow-up on strategic actions and key performance indicators (KPI’s).
Being responsible for risk management in operations at Hub level. Deployment of BU specific guidelines and common processes in the Hub.
Supporting in large projects across the hub from tendering to execution stage.
Supporting for the local units in managing financial risks, i.e., foreign exchange exposure, tax optimization opportunities, investments/divestments etc.
Evaluating and following-up on investment, divestment and restructuring projects.
Following-up on cost efficiency and profitability improvement initiatives e.g., Regional Footprint.
Recommending benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance across Hub and implementing the best practices.
Assurance, compliance, and Internal Controls across the Hub. Directing financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements across Hub.
Training, knowledge- and resource-management for Controllers across the hub.

Your background
A CPA or MBA with strong controlling and accounting background or similar.
5 plus years of experience in business controlling of major business unit. Overall 15+ years of experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant international business outside home country.
Strong financial manager structured and result oriented leader.
Strong analytical and cross-cultural communication skills.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
