Department Description:
The CIB Business Support Governance department is a unit within Corporate and Institutional Banking with the objective of providing direction and oversight on operational improvement strategies and enhancing service delivery to our customers The unit also provides required support to Head of Business Support and Governance in overseeing managing the risk control environment of Corporate and Institutional Banking unit

Detailed Description:
The role of the Assistant Manager is to handle the following
Be a point of contact for all new initiativespertaining to UAE regulatory requirements or as part of overall organizational process improvement
Identify opportunities to automate and make the processes efficient to ensure that CIB clients are served in an efficient way
Manage projects initiated by CIB governance and ensure that timely and periodic update on project progress is provided to CIB Management
Liaise with various internal stakeholders such as GOPS IT Tanfeeth OpRisk Legal Compliance to ensure that the project deliverables are met as per the timelines
Initiate process developmentamendments as applicable with GOPS Oprisk Compliance teams and ensure that NPPA is signed off within the project planned timelines
Prepare obtain internal approvals and send project golive process changes or other relevant communications to all CIB staff
Liaise with relevant stakeholders including legal marketing business teams GOPS etc for finalization of new forms amendment to existing forms or EDMs and ensure that the relevant communications are sent in line with the planned timelines
Be a point of contact for review of processes policies Operational Risk Control AssessmentsORCAs Key Control AssessmentsKCAs Key Risk IndicatorsKRIs that impact CIB
Ensure adherence to the Operational Risk framework policy for ENBD within CIBinclusive of Business Continuity and other Information Security policy requirements
Ensure that all CIB DLAs are reviewed on a regular basis and required changes are incorporated approval obtained in discussion with the relevant stakeholders and communicated to all staff under CIB
Review the CIB client portfolio and engage with coverage team for possible movement of tail clients to retail segments
Review transactions referrals with an objective to reduce the same and promote straight through processing
