JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Overview:
Efficient and effective control of Project Material & Equipment, processes, and documentation in a timely manner and within the parameters of and in compliance with McDermott Global Operating and Quality Procedures.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Accountable for successful and timely documents management for materials receiving and issuance including Return to Stores.
Oversee material receiving and issuing in warehouse / yard floor operations, stock accuracy and compliance to company’s / customer’s procedures from the Contractor.
Performs Work Front Forecasting for Construction planning, Coordinate with the Engineering team to ensure necessary Engineering deliverables such as attributes/BOM structure are maintained with correct Materials ROS dates in the system
Ensure tracking in system and reports are maintained for all project incoming and outgoing materials.
Accountable for material receiving, checking, location allocation, Inventory checks, issuing and preservation coordination.
Perform routine location checks, storage & preservation requirements and maintain quality standards records.
Ensure all pick tickets are created in the system and issued out reflecting the actual inventory.
Inspect materials receiving & issuing documents for accuracy, completeness and inform supervisor for any discrepancies.
Ensure new Delivery Notes are scanned and made available in share drive for PMT/Production teams.
Prepare checklist for Warehouse and QC clearance in timely manner based on checked inbound documents.
Liaise with PMT/Expeditors, if any clarifications needed for checklist creation and perform follow-up.
Accurately maintain GRN tracker for all checklists and all type of material/receipts.
Post GRN/MRR upon inspection completion for materials and consumables.
Notify PMT/Expeditors on OS&D via e-mail immediately and register OS&D in the system.
Maintain / update OS&D log and distribute OS&D report on weekly basis to Expeditors for action.
Attend OS&D meetings, follow-up for closure and close OS&D in the system/ log, when cleared.
Prepare Materials Pick ticket based on Production/shop engineer BOM/Reservation code request.
Verify material issue requests received from Production/shop Engineers for completeness and relevant data requirements.
Maintain Manual issue note register (for CM Approved/Direct Delivery/others) for materials not acknowledged in the system.
Maintain checklist record in Document Management System.
Reconcile materials in the system based on actual availability at the end of the project or as requested by PMT.
Project material control process is accurate, timely documented and complete.
All communication is tactful, friendly and respects confidentiality and analysis are completed on time.
Meetings are timely, complete and documented.
Investigations are documented, timely accurate and complete.
Follow up actions are timely, complete and documented.
Liaison with outside services is timely, accurate and discrete.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Diploma in Science / Material Management / ITI or 5 to 10 years relevant experience.
Specific Industry Training, Knowledge of Engineering / Petrochemical industry or General Engineering / Mechanical background.
Proficiency in Material Management Systems (Smart Plant Materials)
Computer literate and proficient in the use of spreadsheets and / or Material Management software.
Fluent in English language (oral +written).
Computer literate, proficient in the use of spreadsheets and Material Management software.
Able to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals or technical procedures.
Ability to compile / write reports and procedures
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
Capable of working under pressure, managing a team to lead by example, handling high volumes of work and balancing conflicting demands in a timely manner whilst constantly meeting deadlines and targets.
Will be self-motivated, highly focused, driven by results and able to demonstrate excellent organization and communication skills and pay attention to detail while operating with flexibility and adaptability.
Good interpersonal & communication skills, familiar with materials, specifications and Materials Management systems.
