As Engineering Admin Manager, you will join a team that is passionate about delivering exceptional service where we believe that anything is possible, whilst having fun in all that we do!

Key Responsibilities of the Engineering Admin Manager:
-Control the Maintenance Request System by delegating works to specific trades, supervises proper completion of assigned works and compiles daily work order statistics.
-Maintain records relating to utility costs throughout the hotel.
-Follow up on general room repairs, preventative maintenance inspections and repairs including scheduling of all these works as per computerised system.
-Review daily log book, rectify or follow up on all items left unsolved from any previous shifts, discuss the same with the Chief Engineer or an appointed technical person
-Ensure proper records are kept relating to all plant and equipment for the hotel.
-Follow up and prepare HLP reports and summaries.
-Attend all inspections and internal meetings as required.
-Conduct regular staff meetings to keep all associates are fully informed.
-Ensure compliance with legislated workplace health and safety requirements
-Assist all engineering associates with maintenance and repairs when required.
-Responsibility for follow up on all assigned tasks to Engineering associates to ensure the works have been completed in a reasonable time frame and to a standard pertaining to the complex and as set by the Engineering management.
-Follow up on work schedules and annual leave schedules.
-Perform duties as assigned by the department head.
-Be aware of the duty of care and adhere to RHG various workplace health and safety related policies and procedures.
-Be familiar with property safety, first-aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly.
-Complies with hotel's Health, Safety & Hygiene Policy.
-Ensures that all storage areas are clean and maintain high standards of hygiene.
-Ensure the effective financial management of the maintenance department by setting maintenance budgets, capital works programme, engineering plans and ensuring that performance against these is regularly monitored and reviewed.
-Take responsibility for the general cost control aspects of maintenance, the preparation of departmental cost budgets and their implementation and submission to management.
-Advises on improvements to the present system in order to optimise the operating efficiency and economy of the said system.
-Supports and initiate programmes for the improvement procedures and the reduction of energy and utility costs.
-Supervises outside contractors when working on plants or equipment in order to ensure high standards of workmanship.
-Works with superior and the human resources department to:
-Conduct on-the-job training in accordance with the departmental standards and procedures and maintain a record of progress for each staff member
-Train and develop the assigned employees in order to improve their skills and quality of work
-Provide input for probation and formal performance appraisal discussions in line with company guidelines-Ensure new staff attend corporate orientation within first month of hire
-Coach, counsel and discipline staff in breach of hotel policies and departmental procedures, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance
Requirements of the Engineering Admin Manager:
-Proven experience in property maintenance with excellent problem-solving capabilities
-Excellent managerial skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style
-Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry
-Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations
-Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy
-Experienced in using IT systems on various platforms
-Strong communication skills
Hotel Experience: Minimum 4-5 years – Atleast 2 years as Admin supervisor/manager
Must be aware of local authority’s inspections and standards and classification requirements.
