ROLE SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this role is to lead the market People Experience strategy and execution in an effective, efficient & innovative manner that meets the needs of local business and in alignment with Pfizer Purpose.
The Director, People Experience, Saudi and Gulf, Biopharma serves as HR Lead for the Saudi Country President and Gulf Country Manager organizations and lead the PX teams in both markets, playing an active role in coaching and change management in the business and within PX.
The leader is a member of both Country Leadership Teams (Saudi and Gulf), the Emerging Markets Markets Leadership Team and the MERA Leadership team.
Areas of focus include Transformation and New Ways of Working, Communication & Engagement, Talent Growth & Movement, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Health & Wellbeing
The role reports to the Emerging Markets, People Experience Vice President and will a team of 7-10 colleagues, including Business Partner´s role, Internal Comms & Local HR Operations.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Transformation and New Ways of Working
Partners with business leaders to assess the business environment, design simple and efficient organizational structures, cut bureaucracy/red tape, strategically define position responsibilities, lead change and manage talents.
Provide advice, counsel and direction to leader(s) in the planning, initiation and follow-through on people and organizational change initiatives, anticipating and managing challenges and ensuring achievement of objectives.
Encourages leaders to identify and apply acceptable levels of risk-taking towards driving innovation and new ways
Communication & Engagement
Leverage communication as a vehicle to ensure colleague engagement and alignment of strategies and day-to-day operations
Build and sustain collaborative relationships across PX and other partners lines to ensure clear communication and effective well-coordinated execution of PX and Business Initiatives
Create, evaluate and improve communication channels focusing on those experiences that drive authentic engagement
Talent Growth & Movement
Drive a talent development agenda which enables the exploration of diverse growth paths and zig-zag development for colleagues thru multiple experiences in alignment to business needs and colleagues’ aspirations
Develop a workforce growth plan linked to the strategic direction of the business including a needs analysis and a talent growth plan to address future needs through the development of internal talent and acquisition of external talent
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)
Supports Pfizer and Biopharma Equity Commitments thru the implementation of applicable local and regional DEI practices
Partner with EM and MERA Leaders to create an environment where every colleague feels included and valued embracing diverse perspectives in decision making
Leverage organizational assessments results (including Pfizer Pulse and PLI) to measure and track progress of DEI initiatives
Health & Wellbeing
Partner with Leaders to implement strategies that enhance colleague experiences, work environments and task assignments
Serve as health and wellbeing ambassador encouraging use of Pfizer’s Wellness & Mental Health Resources and Benefits
HR Organization and People Management
Direct accountability for setting direction, deploying resources, and leading goal setting, performance, and growth discussions in alignment with Pfizer’s Blueprint and Biopharma HR Priorities
Promote an engaging culture enabling the collaboration, development and movement of LATAM HR colleagues
Leverage the full spectrum of the Global HR Function
Other tasks and responsibilities to be assigned as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required. An advanced degree is strongly preferred.
7 plus years of relevant experience advising or consulting senior leaders in a business or operational role (HR, financial, marketing, policy, legal, etc.)
Broad knowledge and experience of the relevant healthcare and pharmaceutical environment
Familiarity with strategic and operating planning processes
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, effectively manage multiple important priorities, flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, and proven ability to work under pressure
Strong writing, presentation and influencing skills.
Fluency in English is needed.
Culture role model with demonstrated comfort and proficiency with straight talk to enable efficiency, effectiveness, and speed in addressing and resolving important issues and opportunities
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to work in “white space” and drive towards aspirational vision
Creative problem solver, demonstrated track record of exemplary performance, organized and detail-oriented with the ability to handle competing priorities and work well under pressure
Strong analytical skills to assess information, draw conclusions and recommend improvements
Experience working cross-culturally particularly within an international organization
Collaborative spirit, strong project and program management skills, including change leadership
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
10% international travel required
