Our client is one of the leading brokerage houses in the MENA region focused on public equites & fixed income across the GCC, European & US markets. They are looking to hire at a specialist level, a Market Risk expert who will be responsible to provide support in definition, development and implementation of MR measurement tool, system processes, and reporting. Also, to provide support in quantitative analysis and evaluations on market conditions, emerging risk trends and methods for relevant hedging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the adequacy of the Market Risk control framework and define / refine the processes, ensuring all relevant risks are monitored and controlled
- Provide middle office analysis, reporting and support to the senior management
- Provide hands on support and solutions to the wider business
- Periodical vetting of Market Risk model.
- Conduct weekly /monthly meetings to drive the team and review performances.
Key Requirements:
- 7+ years’ experience of market risk in the financial services sector.
- Knowledgeable of emerging market equities and local stock exchanges
- Strong understanding of risk methodologies / VAR / stress testing / interest rate modelling
- Strong IT understanding in systems / applications
- Goal orientated, self-motivated & highly organised.
