Supply Chain Project Manager, Axiom Telecom, UAE

The Role:

Supply Chain projects will contain multiple work streams each focusing on a specific area (procurement, transition, etc.). The work streams will be inter-dependent and will require a strong focus on coordination and planning across all work streams to maintain the critical path.

There is a need for an experienced senior Project Manager to build and maintain an integrated plan, identify dependencies, and drive the critical path. This will involve holding work stream leads to account, ensuring there are clear supporting activities in play (e.g. change & comms approaches), managing the internal stakeholder management requirements, and acting as the single voice into the sponsor – enabling the project team to focus on delivery.

 

The Profile:

• Coordinate the Supply Chain Project Team so that every team member is operating at the highest standard and delivering to time, cost, and quality.
• Hold a dynamic, project-level plan that shows the work stream dependencies, project-level activities, and critical path so that there is single version of the truth for all stakeholders.
• Hold key planning and monitoring tools such as risks, dependencies, decisions, actions so that plans are controlled, risks identified and resolved quickly, and there is a seamless handover to a new PM at the appropriate time.
• Hold an overall view of stakeholder engagement and ensure that all parties are appropriately engaged and are providing the right level of input and/or support to the Project.
• Lead the engagement for certain groups [TBC]; facilitate the engagement of [TBC] on behalf of the Sponsor.
• Coordinate the Project Board series so that meetings are well-organized and provide maximum value to the attendees and the project.
• Set up all Project Management disciplines: Scope, Gant Chart, Resource, Issues Logs etc.
• Ensure weekly updates, and actions are completed on time
• Liaises with other functions to ensure timely completion of actions
• Escalates and facilitates conflicts between projects, helps prioritize and sequence actions

 

The Essentials:

• Bachelors in Commerce
• Prince 2, or equivalent
• Knowledge of Agile Project Management
• Experience: 10 years in Project Management
• Fluency in English
• Knowledge of Supply Chain
• Strong IT knowledge around data management
• Team leadership skills
• Team working skills to find optimal solutions with others
• Microsoft Project and other project management tools
