What You'll Be Doing:
- Inspect routine and complex structural building systems at various stages of construction to ensure work has been carried out as per approved design drawings.
- Report any violations at site to senior engineers, consider providing detailed violation report.
- Follows up to ensure that violations are corrected in accordance with codes and regulations.
- Provides general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.
- Prepare appropriate paperwork, records, and reports.
- Check plans for construction, alteration, or repair of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings to assure compliance with applicable codes.
- Notifies builders and architects of variances and instances where plans or constructions are out of compliance with codes or regulations; provides general guidance and information on resolution.
- Drafts and distributes reports of inspection findings; maintains records of reports and findings.
- Confirms that land usage and construction projects comply with plot sheets, health, and safety regulations.
- Maintains knowledge of Districts, health, safety, and building codes and regulations.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 7+ years of related experience on heavy construction projects
- Must be thoroughly familiar with construction related processes related to area of assignment.
- Have the potential to perform in a lead capacity.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- In-depth knowledge of Qatar / GCC real estate market dynamics and regulatory environments.
- Excellent technical capabilities.
- Attention to detail, perseverance, and proactive approach to work.
- Ability to collaborate and work well with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages is an advantage.
- Team Player
