Job Purpose
Lead the Hospitality Learning Delivery Team and the Onboard Services Learning Design Manager to ensure the highest standards in alignment with the Emirates Hospitality Strategy, Principles and overall airline and brand strategies ‘Fly Better’. Collaborate with the Hospitality Team to deliver the long-term vision by creating an engaging and high impact learning design and delivery to support the Cabin Crew to develop learning programmes that supports the career progression and advance their hospitality skills and mind-set.
- Lead the team that will deliver a learning design strategy (both digital and classroom) that will create the Cabin Crew Services Learning Catalogue offerings.
- Lead a team of learning designers and digital production partners to design and develop engaging, inspiring, and scalable learning content that can be delivered through various blended learning channels. Collaborate with IT and Digital Learning as needed.
- Define and develop innovative learning solutions based on latest trends in learning and content design to ensure Learning catalogue offerings are always benchmarked against world-in-class standards. Suggest digital learning strategy that enables a personalised, fit-for-purpose, just-in-time learning experience, cost-efficient, improved learning engagement, and learning retention for Cabin Crew.
- Engage and work closely with the Service Delivery Leadership team (Product Development, Catering, Cabin Crew Management and Inflight Entertainment, Connectivity & Retail) to define the learning needs of a wide group of multicultural Cabin Crew and deliver a learning experience that engages and supports Crew throughout their career journey with Emirates.
- Collaborate with the Leadership and Service Learning team and other subject matter experts to identify learning needs and help translate their expertise (i.e., Chefs, wine exerts etc.) into impactful learning content that delivers outcomes and triggers a positive change in behaviours and skills.
- Conduct learning needs analysis with crew to identify learning needs and gaps in skills and knowledge and suggest learning interventions to meet their learning needs and gaps. This then feeds into the different functions of Cabin Crew Hospitality Training units to propose evolving learning offerings.
- Define KPIs and develop solutions that leverage on learning analytics to measure the effectiveness and quality of learning programmes.
- Work closely with the On-board Services Learning Design Manager to review, and update learning content and bring improvement to learning programmes considering the change and growth of the business to ensure relevance and fitness-for purpose as well as ensure efficiency and better utilisation of resources.
- Work closely with On-board Service Delivery Manager for the delivery of an engaging and impactful learning experience and programmes for Cabin Crew. Forecast volumes to provide input into budget/resource needs based on operational growth demands.
- Responsible for defining requirements and tools for training needs such as forecast volumes to provide input/suggestion for training equipment’s and what is required based on operational growth demands.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications:
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) In a Business Administration, Hospitality, Human Resources and/or any other relevant field.
Experience:
- Total 8+ yrs experience in the airline industry.
- Previous experience as a cabin crew, preferably in a global leading airline.
- Desirable experience in leading learning organisations and managing the learning experience (end-to-end) for different employee groups.
Knowledge/skills:
- Experience in designing innovative learning content and deep expertise in adult learning
- Strong sense of visual storytelling and an eye and ear for detail
- Design thinking skills to create engaging and impactful learning experiences
- Comfort with ambiguity, technology, and openness to the challenge of working in a demanding and fast-paced environment
- Ability to lead and manage a team and inspiring confidence while facilitating change and transformation
- Ability to manage different stakeholders and deliver to a wide variance of audience
