Position Objectives:
The Project Control Manager is overall responsible for all Project Control activities in the Project.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Manage the assigned Project Control resources, and allocate tasks and responsibilities for project control tasks.
- Initiate and chair regular meetings with all involved parties to coordinate practical project control Issues to ensure the timely and orderly execution of the work.
- Manage the preparation of a detailed Project Implementation Plan and follow-up project scheduling and reporting activities.
- Monitor project progress and work performed with reference to agreed work plans, schedules and vendor contracts.
- Prepare a Project Communication Plan and establish a communication channel with all involved parties to collect and share project information.
- Establish, Monitor and Control processes for Scope Assignments and Change management.
- Establish Risk Management processes to proactively manage project risks, identify the potential impact, and execute appropriate risk avoidance and mitigation plans.
- Establish processes to manage and control the flow of documents in the project.
- Establish routines to collect, validate, and analyze project data, and ensure suitable project databases are implemented to store and manage this data.
- Establish routines and guidelines for preparing project reports, with a special focus on up-to-date project status, project delays, blocking issues, and corrective actions; ensure that results are timely and correctly presented and explained to the Client in the required format, quantity and quality.
- Support cross-function team in RFI/RFP, Contracts and Price benchmarking.
- Manage and Control Project budgets and financial closeouts
- Issue periodic Vendor performance evaluation report
- Manage and control project/program reports and dashboards
- Monitor analytics and metrics results
- Implement new data analysis methodologies
- Reporting, online analytical processing, analytics, dashboard development, data mining, process mining, complicated event processing, business performance management, benchmarking, text mining, predictive analytics, and prescriptive analytics KPIs and performance reports
- Establish routines and guidelines for preparing project reports, with a special focus on up-to-date project status, project delays, blocking issues, and corrective actions; ensure that results are timely and correctly presented and explained to the Client in the required format, quantity, and quality.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in Project Control Management and 3 years in Contract Management positions.
- Certified professional PMP/Prince2
- Certification in lean six sigma GB or above will be an advantage
- Certification in Data sciences will be an advantage
- Formal Contract Management Training will be an advantage
- Strong experience in Project Management, Control activities, Budget Management, and Reporting templates.
- Hands-on experience with project communication standards.
- Experience in establishing processes to manage and control the flow of documents in the project.
- Proficient with MS Office suite particularly with Excel, PowerPoint
- Proficient with creating PowerPoint reports with the ability to tailor the story per audience.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English language.
- Good knowledge of executive management reporting, presentations and dashboard concepts with good analytical skills in MS Power BI
