Main Cashier, University Hospital, Sharjah, UAE

Position Summary

Liaises with External; She/he will has regular contact with the Finance Manager/Director of Finance, medical doctors, patients, finance staff, and other UHS’s staff, in the process of billing, and queries on payments of bills.

Summary of Main Duties

Collection of Hospital Cash Collections from all Cash Points.

Reconciling amount of cash collected with system reports and co-relating with patient attendance.

Maintaining reports related to cash collections on daily basis

Carrying out cashier audits including surprise cash counts periodically 

Depositing the amounts to the Bank on daily basis.

Holding the Imprest Cash and Disbursement of Imprest to all Petty Cash Holders. (Main petty cash and E-Dhiram cards)

Ensure the Reconciliation of Amounts deposited with reference to the bank statements.

Handling the Edhiram cards and VISA fee floats.

Ensure always sufficient funds are available in the Edhiram cards and AMWAL account for the VISA processing

Position Requirements/Qualifications

 

B. Com or BS in Accounting from an accredited university.

Five years experience in a similar position

Fluency in English, preferred to be bilingual or trilingual

 

Position criteria Other Skills/Abilities

Excellent computer skills, especially in MS Office.
