Responsibilities
In this context, the PPM TechLead will work with Sales, Sales Enablement, Industry Consultants, Project Managers, Technical Leaders and System Integrators to run complex digitalization proposals & projects from feasibility study through design and development to production. More specifically:
- design an overall solution architecture selecting PPM software products & components that meet requirements, identified by the customer and/or the industry consultant
- effectively communicate capabilities and functionality of the software solution to the account executive and to the customer
- assist the sales team on proposals for services by contributing in the technical response writing of bids and by leading proof-of-concepts execution
- support sales and bid team during presales by providing inputs to the delivery work breakdown and estimate services effort to implement the solution
- participate in projects delivering a multi-product solution
- enable customer to express / develop their requirements to improve their processes and report these as functional specifications
- evaluate / refine solution approach options and available technology to ensure optimal technical proposal to the customer
- support PM, during project planning, to develop high-level schedule and formal effort estimates related to services and infrastructure to meet customer requirements
- define technical objectives, process requirements, constraints and scope of the solution being developed
- identify and high-level design enterprise system interface and data migration requirements
- ensure test case scenarios are defined and approved for customer solution(s) being deployed
- identify and report to Product Owners functionality in project solution’s design that can be best implemented as a generic solution within PPM portfolio
- collaborate with PPM support and Product Centre to bring critical issues and resolution, acting as point of contact for all PPM deployment or production critical issues with customers
- identify business development in the projects and ‘add-on’ sales opportunity
- effectively communicate with all parties, demonstrating ability to deal with difficult or sensitive information in a tactful manner
Qualifications
- Engineering or Business Degree with 5-7 year experience in Engineering & Construction or Operations & Maintenance segments
- significant experience in minimum two following areas:
- 5 -10 year working in complex projects
- extensive knowledge of EPC or O&M business processes in process, power or marine industry
- efficiently presenting Enterprise level solutions with enterprise architecture background
- experience with business process definition & re-engineering
- experience with CAD or Information Management Hexagon PPM or equivalent competitor software products implementation into large organization
- ability to collaborate with a diversity of customer or internal actors to address business challenges and important issues and overcome them
- ability to provide leadership to a small / medium implementation team
- familiarity and conceptual understanding of Cloud software architecture
- good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and foster customer relationship
- effective communication both written and verbal.
