The role responsibilities:
As a Senior Client Partner within our Private Banking business, you will drive profitable growth through leadership of the team on sales management, and exercise supervisory responsibilities with a clear oversight on risk and control environment.
Business
- Accountable for the performance of team’s client book, including own book as appropriate
- Develop and implement the business/sales plans for the cluster, including his/her own book
- Deliver NNM, AUM and Revenue growth targets and key operating metrics for the cluster (such as tail
accounts management, client acquisition, client satisfaction, product holdings)
- Work with Market Head to build and lead a team of world class Private Bankers and ensure that the team
collaborates with support functions, business partners, and product specialists to deliver One Bank.
- Generate healthy pipeline of target markets and prospects and convert them into clients.
- Grow client portfolio size by deepening existing client relationships
- Deliver, monitor and review solutions to clients based on their investment profile
- Deliver profitable growth for the team by controlling costs and mitigating operational losses
- Deliver positive client performance in line with client investment profiles
Processes
- Support the continuous improvement of processes to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Support effective management of operational risks across the Business and in compliance with
applicable internal policies, external laws and regulations at a global level
- Ensure sales management, suitability and onboarding process are applied appropriately
People and Talent
- Identify and address top concerns and opportunities for performance within the team
Risk Management
- Understand the risk and control environment within area of responsibilities
- Ensure adequate and appropriate systems and controls are in compliant with Group and Business
Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure that risk management matters that are brought to attention are subject to direct remedial action
and / or ensure adequate reporting to the relevant risk committees and / or line management
- Ensure adherence to the Bank’s policies and procedures, Regulatory policies and processes.
- Ensure Sales Management, Suitability and on-boarding processes are applied appropriately.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and
business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance
with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct
Our ideal candidate:
Will have exceptional Customer Relationship Management skills and a demonstrable track record in building a sizable book (NNM / AUM / Revenue).
The selected candidate will have strong Leadership skills and will have experience of managing a team of Private Bankers.
Credit Risk analysis and proficient Legal and Regulatory knowledge are essential.
Our Private Bankers should display strong Product knowledge, with excellent Risk management, profiling & analysis and negotiating skills.
