We, at E.K.Kanoo, are looking for an Accountant. The ideal candidate would have excellent English communication skills as well as possess excellent MS Office skills which are key traits for such a role. The role involves having good accuracy skills as well as possessing problem solving skills. Being able to work independently and take initiative where possible are essential key skills for this role. The ideal candidate should possess an Accounting Degree. Having a Chartered Accounting degree would be an added advantage.
About the Role
The candidate selected for this opportunity will be responsible to conduct stock and account reconciliation, ledger close activities, and provide accurate financial data to support management in decision making. Receiving cash, cheque or bank transfer collection from customers, issuing receipts against collections and reconciling against sales ledger and trial balance, ensuring control over product costing, manpower and other relevant overhead costs, capital and operational expenditure and reporting any variances. This role also requires the selected candidate to maintain general accounting systems, policies and procedures to ensure proper and accurate information and compliance with statutory laws and regulations and Responsible for the preparation of debit and credit notes, dated receipts, and other relevant documents and reports, arranging and preparing for local supplier payment and Telex transfer for overseas suppliers, Handling, reviewing and analyzing bank reconciliations, ledgers, balance sheet reconciliations and other relevant financial data along with resolving all open items to ensure accuracy in financial statements. Having experience in Oracle is a plus. To be considered for this role, you will need to have 2-4 years of experience in similar role.
