You will be working as Project Lead Engineer and will be the part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries Division located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. In this role you will be responsible for all engineering activities in assignments classified as low engineering complexity. Ensure that activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are efficiently and cost-effectively executed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

Your responsibilities
- Act as Technical Specialist and Project Lead for Process control and safety systems with high level of expertise in ABB 800xA with AC 800M control system and to be proficient in application engineering for both process control and safety systems, especially using ABB 800xA with AC 800M control, ABB Freelance and interface configuration using different industrial protocols between ABB 800xA and ABB products & third-party systems. Knowledge of ABB legacy systems an added advantage.
- Provide high level technical support and coordination of product issues to customers within the specific business unit region / country, in the Gulf region. Coordinate and resolve high level technical issues/questions, provide advice and recommendation both internally and to customer sites. Able to troubleshoot Automation system especially ABB 800xA at onshore and offshore site for Oil & Gas customer.
- Provide and create a team approach to service-related activities and offer customers a complete lifecycle approach to product implementation, support and ultimate system upgrades.
- Deliver a professional and Quality Service in line with ABB and customer requirements, improve and grow ABB service business. Good Knowledge of cyber security solutions such as network hardening, system hardening, backup solutions, Patch Management for Automation system especially ABB 800xA.
- Knowledge of Networking solutions especially using Hirschman networking products, domain setup, group policies management for automation system especially with ABB 800xA.
- Involvement / assistance with new projects, especially with system testing for customers during FAT, commissioning, and SAT Activities.
Your background
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.
- 10 years of experience in automation.
- Experience with Onshore and Offshore Oil and Gas customer especially ADNOC.
- Overall automation systems understanding, combined with process knowledge in one of Oil, Gas & Chemical.
- Knowledge of ABB systems eg: 800xA ICSS, Freelance, Industrial Cyber security solutions.
- Customer interpersonal skills, communication skills, problem solving.
