As a Project Engineer, you’ll be part of a team delivering the design and manufacture of advanced, niche measurement devices designed for the energy and technology industry. Working on large-scale innovative projects you’ll play an integral role in shaping designs, specifications, customisations and ensuring product compatibility for our customers.
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Applying electrical engineering principles to analyze, propose, design, test and troubleshoot controls systems associated with Industries such as Power, Oil & Gas, LNG , Fertilizers, Water Treatment, Chemicals or Paper/Pulp etc.
- Reviewing contract documentation, customer specifications and experience in creating equipment specifications and detailed design documentation for the development of appropriate control solutions.
- Designing/Implementation of Gas / Steam Turbines and Compressor Controls Systems retrofit and upgrades.
- Designing/Implementation of plant control systems {Distributed Control System (DCS), Programable Logic Controller (PLC)} in above mentioned industries to work in brown or green field projects.
- Designing/Implementation of Safety Integrated Level (SIL) Loops and various third part interfaces such as OPC, Modbus etc.
- Analyzing various sub-systems or auxiliary controls for brown or green field projects.
- Reviewing process requirements and implement required control strategies.
- Interpreting and translating specific customer requirements into series of actions with quality deliverables.
- Being a team player in the project engineering team.
- Having full understanding on the controls engineering design aspects. Supporting customer meetings, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Integrated-FAT of control systems.
- Supporting field services team on project installation & commissioning.
- Traveling as required for supporting FATs, field services team, Sales Team or customer meetings.
- Working with headquarters and other regional teams ensuring global standards on processes and best practices.
- Applying knowledge of industry practices and international standards to produce high-quality and cost-effective designs.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor or master’s degree in instrumentation or equivalent.
- Have a total of 5+ years of experience in relevant industry .
- Have extensive knowledge on Hardware and Software design with Turbine Controls System (TCS), Distributed Control System (DCS), PLC (Programable Logic Controller), SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) systems.
- Have awareness on Industrial Cyber Security, Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Industrial Networks.
- Have good written and spoken communication skills in English, with demonstrated capability to structure and write technical material.
- Have the ability to work solely; ability to prioritize, organize work and meet project engineering schedules. Self-starter with minimal supervision requirement
- Have extensive preference for individuals’ hands on experience in the design of Speedtronic MarkVIe Controls and Nexus Oncore systems or equivalent control systems is preferred.
- Have 5+ years of field / projects / maintenance experience (working with instrumentation, control systems) in Power, Energy, Petro-Chemical, Oil & Gas, Industrial or process plants environment is preferred.
- Have prior knowledge of Plant automation controls, Functional Safety, Industrial Cyber Security design standards and operation is preferred.
- Have the ability to understand ISO 9001 design control standards and apply on day to day engineering processes is preferred.
- Have prior experience following quality assurance processes while working in a projects schedule-driven environment is preferred.
