Key requirements

Consultancy can offer Lawyers the opportunity to expand their skill set and work on diverse and unusual matters. Whilst we are looking for regulators with Middle Eastern experience to join our panel more generally, we currently have an interesting opportunity for a regulator looking to embark on a challenging but rewarding project.

Our practice is looking for :

  • An individual with strong technical skills within regulation - you will be working on creating and drafting new regulations based on policies
  • You will partner closely with the client and work with them as they draft new policies
  • You will need to have strong stake holder management skills and be able to work autonomously with little direction
  • Ideally you will be 8+ years' PQE and will have worked in a top tier law firm
  • Have excellent academic credentials
  • A practicing certificate (or equivalent) which entitles you to practice as a lawyer
  • A consultant mindset - be resilient, open to experiencing new challenges and environments and be excited to develop their skill set and brand within the consultancy field

What can consulting offer you?

A consulting career through Peerpoint is exciting, varied and extremely rewarding. As a Peerpoint consultant you can have the opportunity to work:
  • In-house with one of our clients - this could mean working with a client either virtually or locally to support a project, regulatory reform or transactional work during periods of absence. Assignments can range from three to twelve months in duration and will vary in hours.
  • In the Allen & Overy UAE practice to support a specific client or the practice generally during peak volumes. We have consultants that step into the team on an ad hoc basis and those who work regularly to support the Practice.
We only take you on when we see a demand for your particular expertise, making sure there is a good chance we can provide you with work on an on-going basis. We cannot guarantee work but we are every bit as invested in moving your career forward as you are.

When you join our panel, you’ll receive the full support of our dedicated legal consultant management team, but that’s not all. Throughout the period of your assignment, you’ll also have access to a huge suite of A&O resources, including:
