Job Description
Job Purpose:
- Manage E2E Supply Chain activities for Novartis Saudi.
- Secure country business plan in accordance with Supply Chain guidelines.
- Manage & achieve Supply Chain KPIs.
Major Responsibilities:
- Lead the End-to-End Planning cycle for Novartis SA portfolio.
- Manage the Supply Planning with sites & distribution centers to secure goods availability on time and fulfill market demand.
- Pivotal role driving the monthly S&BP cycle, facilitating the creation of a robust net requirement plan on monthly level for by aligning in-market sales forecast with supply capabilities.
- Plays an orchestrating role between Supply Chain & other stakeholders “FICO, Commercial, DRA” to achieve company business targets.
- Manage Saudi Arabia’s finished good inventory level as per guidelines & agreed target to avoid stock out situations and maintain a healthy stock level.
- Ensure the availability of a considerable stock for Novartis Saudi portfolio to support and secure market demand opportunity and limit the impact of any supply variability.
- Embed compliance across all activities within the function.
- Acts as the point of contact for the GOCA process and all order related topics.
- Manages backlog and backorders between the Site and customers/next supply points and ensures direct communication with Customer, internal and external stakeholders.
- Is responsible for creating and maintaining SLAs with related Planning Parameter setup in alignment with the customers.
- Is responsible for Monthly Demand Review Meeting (midterm horizon 3 to 24 months) including demand assumptions, recognizing trends, and showing variances to last demand submissions as input to Supply Review meetings and Monthly Business Review (MBR) meetings within Sales and Business Planning (S&BP) Cycle.
- Liaise & build a strong partnership with internal & external stakeholders (i.e. QA, DRA, FICO, Market Access, KAM, Sites, Distribution Centers, Local Distributors...etc.).
- Manage the Supply Chain Score Card & KPIs reporting and working with the team to be on track.
- Support External Supply Operation Team in Toll Manufacturing & Localization projects in Saudi Arabia.
- Work closely with Commercial Team to secure New Launches Plans.
- Ensure the minimization of the Write-Off and maintain the yearly target.
- Liaise with all stakeholders to secure the Cell & Gene portfolio business & deliveries.
- Use the key performance indicators to track, evaluate and improve planning process.
- Provide demand planning analytics and defines reporting standards and performance management approach in planning considering global standards.
- Ensures active management of indirect and direct cost of distribution.
- Manage the portfolio rationalization activities.
- Manage Country S&BP meeting discussing the current performance, supply situation and existing challenges with all business stakeholders.
- Manage the Supply Chain Operational Calendar for Regional & Local reporting (CSL, WO, HFA, Bias, OMA, Inventory Projection...etc.).
- Ensure the implementation of Global Supply Chain Management SOPs as well as adherence to global and local quality requirements.
- Align & coordinate with Customer Operations, Logistics & Warehouse Operations Teams to secure urgent orders readiness (customs clearance, SFDA release, invoicing & delivering to end customer).

- Responsible to lead, coach and engage an effective and efficient team.
- Responsible for recruiting, training and retaining of talent.
- Responsible to ensure team’s annual objective setting and support the team members through the year in achieving their objectives and Career Progression Plans.
- Ensure team members are continuously trained, empowered & motivated to meet their objectives & maximize their potential productivity in the correct, compliant manner.

Minimum requirements
- Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in Supply Chain and team management role in a multinational organization and/or pharmaceutical industry.
- Bachelor degree is required preferably in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain or Logistics Management, MBA is a plus.
- Candidate must be fluent both written and verbally in English and Arabic.
- SAP expertise is a must.
- Strong knowledge of commercial activities and processes.
- Strong internal and external relationship management background.
- Basic understanding of financial aspects (P&L).
- Excellent analytical capabilities to interpret information and reports.
- Ability to manage complexity whilst being comfortable with ambiguity.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Team and people management experience is preferred.
