Role Description
Responsible for leading focused streams of work around specific client needs. To support Directors and Managing Directors in developing tactical plans within the broader GCIB strategic mandate, specific to the targeted client group.
Begin building relationships to generate deals & bring in business
Central point of contact between: clients, lawyers, financial regulators & legal teams involved in all deals
Manage and develop direct junior (Analyst and Associate) resources and activities across the global franchise in order to deliver the Bank’s products and services to the client
To ensure the Bank’s activities are conducted in a compliant and risk free manner
Responsible for the attraction and development of junior talent and following such performance management procedures as the company’s policies dictate, under the guidance of a Director or Managing Director
The Team
Bank of America is one of the leading international banks in MENA and has won multiple awards (incl. Best Foreign Investment Bank in the Middle East) working on the region’s most complex and transformative transactions
The team is made up of c.15 bankers from all around the world spread across seniority and tenure which has contributed to the creation of a great culture and atmosphere
The MENA team is generalist in nature and covers a wide array of sectors (e.g. Natural Resources, TMT, Financial Institutions, etc.), products (M&A, ECM, DCM, PCM, etc.) and clients (SWF, GRE, Private, etc.). As a result, we work closely with different sector and product teams across the globe both on local/regional and cross-border transactions
Core skills - Required and Preferred
Excellent analytical skills are required
Meticulous attention to detail, diligence and conscientiousness
Strong interpersonal communication skills
In depth experience of delivering investment banking products and advisory services to clients
Significant understanding of credit fundamentals
Demonstrable ability to understand financing needs and match client needs with the most appropriate product / service
Team player – evidence of having built, developed and led teams
Fluency in English is essential and a second European language a plus
Educated to degree level (preferably in a numerical discipline such as economics or finance)
