Senior Sales Engineer - Automotive Replacement, Gates, Dammam, KSA

 As a Senior Sales Engineer you are responsible for:

  1. Responsible for planning, follow-up and development of the sales actions and activities to existing and prospective customers in Saudi Arabia
  2. Assists Distributors in handling Gates product lines. Responsible for the achievement of sales goals and assuring market penetration for all Gates Product Divisions/Markets (Automotive Aftermarket). 
  3. Responsible for all aspects of jobbers, garages and distributor follow-up and for all administrative related activities.
  4. Works with customers on purchasing and technical level to discuss problem areas or business opportunities
  5. To create an awareness of Gates E & S amongst clients and potential customers by providing information on Gates" product range, expertise in providing solution
  6. Understands all aspects of the market and competition. Translates strategies into market specific actions to support the Gates brand and market shares. Market studies are essential to define the right actions.
  7. Responsible for maintaining good commercial relations with Gates customers/prospects and providing them all commercial and technical information to help them to achieve sales budgets.
  8. Provide good Interface between the company & distributors for all required information
  9. Identify distributor requirements and offer Gates E & S scope of supply and explore new areas of business development. Ensure high level of customer satisfaction through effective customer service, technical assistance & prompt after sales service.
  10. In case of contracts to read, interpret & understand all requirements of the customer.
  11. Reports directly to the Geomarket Manager KSA
  12. Managing the expenses related to the assigned budget. 
  13. Implements Gates" sales methods at customers
  14. Performs market studies upon request and collects the required data related to competitive activities. 
  15. To ensure that all company procedures are followed with regard to raising and processing of sales invoices.
  16. Liaise with Supply Chain & Purchasers to manage the appropriate stocking levels (inventory) to ensure that client orders are fulfilled in a timely manner.
  17. Recommend, develop and maintain the customer database, Daily reports, and Competitors activity in the computer system
  18. Recommend to maintain all opportunities in correct stages so as to have correct information with management to achieve company objectives.
Required Experience:
  1. Requires technical or commercial (with technical background) degree
  2. Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in the similar type of function.
  3. Ability to plan, schedule and prioritize the activities.
  4. Ability to work under own initiative and solve problems.
  5. Experience in managing a customer account and distributors
  6. Must have strong selling skills: previous experience highly preferred.
  7. Willingness to work a flexible work schedule.
  8. Ability to resolve common problems and concerns of customers in a professional manner.
 
Required Skills:
  1. Experience in communicating with a variety of groups/customers at different knowledge levels; strong presentation skills
  2. Diplomacy, availability, punctuality, product knowledge, discretion, personality, organizational skills, self-motivator / self-starter, market knowledge, the ability to solve problems and to communicate on every level are indispensable in order to do this job properly.
  3. Being methodical, dynamic, having a positive attitude, a good sense of analysis and of synthesis, inquisitiveness and a sense of responsibility are also required.  Being able to use Gates marketing philosophy and work independently.  Integrity and honesty are a must.
  4. Knowledge of customer in the area with product & service requirement
  5. Ability to read and interpret drawings, manuals and documents.
  6. Possesses managerial skills such as organizing, coordinating, integrating, directing and controlling.
  7. Highly organized with real attention to detail.
  8. Proven leadership capabilities and experience.
  9. Excellent English command both written and verbally; Strong communicator. (Arabic would be an advantage).
  10. Professionalism and ability to exercise discretion with confidential information at all times is required.
  11. Awareness of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards, policies and procedures.
  12. Good numerical, analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  13. Strong personality with a commercial and business acumen.
