Purpose
The Remuneration & Benefits Specialist, MEA role reports to the Global Remuneration Director and manages the remuneration and benefits function in all Middle East and African countries where Worley operates. The role ensures that Worley is positioned competitively to attract and retain talent through the implementation of global remuneration practices in the region and the development of fit-for-purpose remuneration/compensation and benefits solutions. Liaising closely with remuneration colleagues globally and directly supporting the Director, Remuneration for EMEA, the role may also support projects that are global in scope.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and coaching to People teams and business leaders on remuneration decisions and application of the Group’s remuneration framework, policy and processes. This includes education and training to embed understanding and upskill Remuneration capability
- Project manages within the MEA sub-region of the Group’s Remuneration policy, framework and processes, such as benchmarking and analysis, annual pay review, application of the global job framework, special recognition and incentive programs. Ensures effective communication and operationalizing of programs and processes locally to deliver project objectives
- Provide advice to line managers and business leaders in the MEA region on Remuneration for individual employees, often complex in nature
- Lead benefits assessment, competitive positioning, design and implementation in MEA and actively consult with multiple stakeholders throughout
- Support business leaders with complex and time-sensitive activities such as commercial bids, harmonization or joint venture activities, and other remuneration analysis as required
Participate in global projects. Ability to take leadership of key aspects of projects
Technical and Industry Experience:
- Experienced consulting with People business partners in all key aspects of remuneration and experience in benefits design/implementation
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to present complex data and insights in a simple and compelling way
- Typically, 7+ years’ experience in remuneration in a global organization, with experience of remuneration across multiple countries
- Experience consulting with and influencing businesses leaders in matters pertaining to remuneration.
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Flexible, and creative mindset to problem-solving and developing solutions
- Experience with administration of compensation systems e.g. SuccessFactors
- Interpersonal Skills: Builds appropriate, constructive, and effective business relationships throughout the organization; uses diplomacy and tact; is approachable; communicates clearly, accurately, and consistently both verbally and in written matters. Employs the principles of active listening and encourages feedback from others.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Enjoys working in a small high calibre team with high visibility to senior stakeholders. Able to work and liaise with multiple teams and stakeholders, deal with strict deadlines, able to prioritise workloads and help other team members to achieve team goals.

- Achieve the objectives of the Health, Safety & Sustainability (HSS) vision through proactively implementing actions and/or corrective or mitigating actions, and by maintaining an overall knowledge and awareness of the work-place environment (operations, layout, hazards, risks, concurrent activities, personnel, etc.)
- Role-models a commitment to personal well-being and a pro-active approach to continuously improving HSS performance
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Required:
- Relevant degree qualification (Business, Commerce, Human Resources).
- Extensive knowledge of remuneration in the Middle East region. Experience managing benefits in the Middle East is advantageous
Flexible Working Arrangements:
- The role is regional in nature and may need to participate in calls in different time zones to effectively work with a global team. Occasional business travel may be required.
- The role works from the relevant Middle East Worley office location, but flexible working options including a high degree of working from home are available
- Preferred location is the UAE (Dubai or Abu Dhabi), but candidates from other Middle Eastern countries may be considered.
