Majid Al Futtaim is building one of the largest analytics team in the region to support its analytics transformation. We have already progressed well on this agenda by creating the region’s largest data footprint, launching multiple analytics initiatives with many of these experiments turning into Industry 1st Analytics product portfolio to scale impact through analytics and serve future monetization goals
Currently, the Leisure Entertainment and Cinemas Analytics unit continues to be in a start-up mode and is growing quickly. As a futuristic start up division in a big organization, the team members are given the latitude to shape the journey of the team and bring success to fruition. This role is a good fit for someone who is interested in the intersection of strong product, tech and business combined with an established track record of building data products that serve internal and external customers
Role responsibilities include -
- Successfully cascade data operating model and data strategies across the org
- Enhance and enrich key data elements through 3rd party, MAF and other systems
- Productize a fully functional data management platform across the organization
- Creation of a single source of truth – CUBE using key dimensions & metrics
- Standardize KPIs (digital, financial, etc.) across the org
- Responsible for a fully functional tech stack to cater to BI and analytical needs in the org
- Responsible to work with IT to replace, restore and enhance current systems and platforms to enrich pipelines and avoid data delays
- Support data & analytics teams with data related issues to support revenue lift
Minimum experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or the foreign equivalent
- 8 years of experience in the BI & Analytics domain, minimum 4 years developing and building warehouses, cubes, data management and BI suites
- Should be able to define a data model, create and customize visualizations, hierarchies and drill-down in Power BI.
- Should be able to customize and design advanced visualizations and optimize Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability and performance.
- Should be able to configure and setup gateways, developing, maintaining, publishing, and supporting dashboards.
- Very strong on database concepts, data modelling, stored procedures, complex query writing, performance optimization of SQL queries.
- Must have developed and deployed 15 code enhancements of reports and/or data integration solutions to production over a 12-month period
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio & BI Development Studio, troubleshooting existing SQL code to resolve accuracy and performance problems
- 3 years of experience developing basic report table / database schemas using consistent naming standards and effective use of primary and foreign key constructs
