About the Position
In this role, you will work in a team of passionate HR experts in the field of Rewarding, Performance and International Mobility. You will be strongly supporting and drive the implementation and continuous improvement of Reward practices in a business-driven and people-centric manner, helping form a direct link between individual, team and business performance. Touchpoints outside your team will be across all levels of our organization and company – cooperation and collaboration are the essential key. Hence you will work with Wärtsilä colleagues globally and highly contribute to the quality of services delivered by HR.
The position is permanent and you can be located in any Wärtsilä location globally.
As Total Rewards Services Partner, you will be focusing on:
- Ensuring high quality of services delivered across the Reward & Recognition Portfolio
- Continuously optimize Reward & Recognition services and make sure that all end-to-end processes are efficient and compliant, exploring global synergies and improvement opportunities on an ongoing basis
- Supporting the development of rewarding strategies, including short-term and long-term incentive design, together with the CoE as well as driving their implementation and review, in line with market best practices and business
- Driving operational excellence within the HR organization: development of HR operations, ways of working and efficiency
- Analyzing salary and benefits structure, implementation and effectiveness
- Act as partner across our organization, focusing on supporting in complex projects or topics
- Supporting in global broker arrangements and seek efficiencies in the set up
- Implement, Pilot, test and scale new ways of working as well as modern tools and system projects to enhance productivity and increase effectiveness
- Team internally, act as a mentor and coach around your expertise areas and foster an environment of developing capabilities and strength areas
About You
People Services community is a group of professionals who are solution-oriented collaborators, fostering a culture of people-centricity, operational excellence and focus on making an impact to the business.
We are looking for someone with already a track record of working in Rewarding and Compensation precisely. Ideally you have experience from a global setup already and know the twists and turns of working on corporate level across businesses and organizations. As we are currently undergoing and supporting a fast-paced global HR Transformation, you will need to be resilient towards changing requirements and be able to work under high expectations from the stakeholders.
Our Global Mobility and Total Rewards Services team works in a global setting and the selected person will be expected to interact with stakeholders, users, and the community members globally. You embrace agile ways of working and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our ways of working and processes. In the team we value an open and collaborative mindset and expect everyone to work together. We share early, we give prompt feedback and critique, and perceive this as a means to reach our targets with a high-quality deliverable. Our working language is English – Finnish language skills are not needed in this role.
To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone with:
- Ability to understand business strategies and translate these into actionable and compelling services delivery model within the performance and rewarding domain
- High levels of discretion given the nature of data you will be working with
- Have a wide experience in Recognition/Performance and compensation practices, ideally on global, regional and local level. Preferably at least having worked on regional level
- Knowledge and experience of delivering compensation programs (staff, professional, executive, base salary design, incentive pay, job evaluation, etc.)
- Ideally knowledge of international mobility practices and related regulatory considerations
- Ideally knowledge and appreciation of regulatory considerations, data privacy, and labor unions in global geographies and understands taxation and payroll nuances at local levels.
- Highly resourceful, self-driven with the ability to partner, execute and lead through influence and collaboration – across the organization
- Demonstrated curiosity and capacity for learning
- Innovate thinking applied to further improve delivery services
- Engagement, flexibility and a sense of responsibility
- Solution oriented, pragmatic and innovative working style
- Know-how in change management
- Agile working and excellent prioritization skills
- Comfortable and proficient in collaborating and engaging with various stakeholders across all levels in the organization
- Effective project management skills, driving closure on key milestones and overseeing timely delivery
