Job Requirements:
Manages and coaches operations team members using effective feedback and communication of company goals and team as well as individual performance. Develops and maintains a culture valuing safety, quality, professionalism, and accountability. Continually assesses work performance identifying areas for improvement and training opportunities. Assisting with operational tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
By working safely at all times, leading by example.
Immediately investigating, evaluating and addressing potential unsafe conditions and actions.
Drive a culture of Safety First behaviors in all aspects of your role.
Holding team members accountable where appropriate.
Support position that all employees are authorized to employ ‘STOP WORKS’.
Drive peer to peer responsibility for working safely and challenging status quo to ensure we are safe at all times.
Contribute to safety projects as needed and in line with site goals.
Responsible to complete all necessary training and apply the lessons learned.
Act as emergency incident controller in the event of an incident.
Maintain housekeeping standards in order to enable team to safely deliver production, costs and quality targets.
Escalate non-compliance issues to site management team.
To demonstrate the behaviors expected by the company and to promote the company values.
Maintain and improve the set standard of housekeeping around the plant.
Assist the Supervisor when required, such as during plant start-up or shut-down; to change over to stand-by equipment etc.
Involvement in standardization and continuous improvement activities.
Be an effective team member.
Raise and resolve problems quickly.
Dealing with team member performance issues in a timely and professional manner.
Facilitate communication and team understanding of the organization’s strategy, values and goals.
Drive and demonstrate quality as a value and priority.
Address and report all issues impacting quality promptly.
As needed identify, quarantine and report suspect material to protect the customer.
Motivate team members and hold them accountable to deliver quality work.
Engage and participate in a work environment of “Continuous Improvement”.
Uphold standards of quality in line with customer expectations.
Participate in investigations of quality issues and drive implementation of corrective actions.
Support efforts regarding maintaining ISO compliance.
Support the close out of applicable audit actions both internal and external in a timely order.
Manage production team to maximize and continually improve OEE.
Look for opportunities to improve through equipment, procedure, accountability and technology.
Drive to meet or exceed production goals.
Manage efficient use of labor.
Manage process to minimize downtime.
Drive quality culture to maximize first pass quality.
Actively participate in identification of cost savings opportunities and execution of cost savings actions.
Qualifications/ Experience:
Engineering Degree
Good communication skills at all levels
Must have a good attention to detail.
Must be numerate, literate and analytical.
Must display high standards of punctuality, attendance and work ethic.
Must show good judgment when dealing with confidential matters.
