Head of Digital & IT, GCC, AstraZeneca, Dubai, UAE

ABOUT THE ROLE?

The Head of Digital & IT role will organise and control significant groups of AZ, partner or teams of managers to ensure performance objectives are achieved in line with the agreed business strategy and business objectives and is accountable for the provision of Digital & IT delivery to the business unit. We see you managing multiple information systems and projects, including digital, data, innovation ecosystems, and office automation, and oversee back office operations of the affiliate management information system. You’ll need to tap into your creative ability to design, implement, and evaluate the systems that support end users in the productive use of computer hardware and software, and develop and implement user-training program.

Ultimately, you’ll be responsible for drive the digital & IT vision and strategy for your area, developing operating plans, negotiating budgets and leading performance measurement to ensure the effective delivery of business objectives within timescales and quality standards.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED?

Experience of working and leading leaders in a global organisation with complex/geographical context
Experience of leading business area strategy
Budget management experience
Experience of Digital Marketing (Omni)
Experience of leading teams in a matrix organisation
Experience with digital projects including global platforms based in SalesForce, python, adobe experience manager and AWS like type of technologies.
Experience of leading teams with a demonstrable track record of motivational and achievement-oriented leadership
Strong experience of developing relationships with senior internal customers and suppliers
Advanced proficiency in strategic planning, change enablement and innovation
Experience in changing new ways of working transforming culture (i.e. Agile, Design Thinking, Lean)
Strong experience planning, deploying and maintaining Commercial IT capabilities especially Business Information, Digital channels and Field Capabilities
English language proficiency.
