 Summary:

AlJazeera.com is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Producer to join its Digital News desk in Doha. With a global audience of millions, the English website of Al Jazeera Media Network covers the world from a unique angle, with a focus on the human story.

The selected candidate will join our award-winning digital team and will deepen our focus on the global south, across all online platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for writing accurate copy, uploading stills, uploading video and original reporting when assigned.
• Pitches original ideas and treatments for editorial coverage on a daily basis, and produces news from across the world.
• Ensures all copy and content is consistent with Al Jazeera’s editorial standards and brand of journalism
• You’ll be a key part of a team that covers the Middle East and North Africa region from Doha, pushing boundaries, evolving with and being one step ahead of digital trends.

Key Requirements:

• You have at least 1-2 years of experience in writing, producing and reporting in a newsroom as a web journalist at the national or international level.
• You are passionate about global current affairs and multimedia reporting across Digital platforms.
• You are calm under pressure and work well with a wider team.
• You are fluent in English and preferably Arabic.
