Assistant Manager, Global Trade and Sales, Emirates Islamic, Dubai, UAE

 The Job holder’s responsibilities include the following tasks:

1. Revenue Generation

• Limit approval and utilization in select markets
• Coordinating with FI counterparties to book both funded and non-funded income
• Generate skim income through sell down activities

2. KYC Support

• Arranging the documents to onboard new counterparties
• Coordinating with compliance and governance teams to onboard new customers as per applicable internal policy
• Providing KYC documents to FI counteparties to complete their KYC processes on Emirates Islamic
• Responding to KYC queries/questionnaire with coordination with the compliance & governance teams

3. Operations Support

• Book new transactions against the approved limits
• Responding to correspondent bank queries related to payments with coordination with operations team
• Approach correspondent bank and resolve the payment and trade issues/delay/non-receipt faced by Business / Operations team
• Support other business units in respect to their trade finance requirements vis-à-vis other correspondent banks
• Reconciliation of rebate entries and clearing correspondent charges
• Providing operational support in opening and closing nostro and vostro accounts
• Preparing credit memo to arrange necessary approvals for FI counterparties
• Providing support on Cash Management Business

 

Qualifications

 

• Over 3 years of experience in banking roles serving FI customers, preferably in the GCC region
• Experience to manage FI relationship and resolve their queries
• Comfortable to operate and exceed in a competitive client-facing environment
• Proactive and driven profile
• Mature banking professional
• Results oriented
• Ability to adapt oneself in a new environment quickly
