About you

In this role, you will provide technical support to Lead Scientists and Technologist Leaders in the preparation and execution of experimental activities and studies. You act as primary focal point for technical support of a process, program, product, or application within the work group and occasionally for internal/external clients and customers. Furthermore, you will provide technical support for product development, application development, technical service, and/or product or process research.

Also, you will work on each of the following tasks:

Work as part of a team in a laboratory supporting chemists and engineers in developing, screening and commercializing new products and process.
Manage and then safely execute laboratory work requests, maintain and run relevant laboratory apparatus and test equipment and document data.
Develop experimental plans for review/approval by Lead Scientist or Technology Leader, and execute approved plans by performing routine and non-standard tasks or procedures of higher complexity.
Achieve project goals using technical, role-specific skills and experience, and introduce new procedures for new instrument methods, equipment changes, or new equipment.
Develop a specific expertise within the department and laboratory work group in specific procedures, equipment, or instruments.
Act responsible for calibration, safe operation and routine maintenance of simple and complex instruments, machinery, and system components, including production equipment.
Update personal knowledge for proper use of equipment via manuals and job aids, log maintenance activities and calibrate results as required.
Communicate scientific observations to project team or principal investigator and organize and prepare data tables and charts for inclusion in supported studies.

Required qualifications

Associate Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Medical Lab or equivalent local education required. (Local requirements may vary).
Fluent in English

Your preferred qualifications include:

2-3 years of relevant work experience preferred.
Arabic language or additional languages are a plus

Your skills, knowledge, and abilities include:

Able to work with programs like Excel, Power Point and other data management programs
Innovative
Team player with strong communication skills
