Key responsibilities

Leading people in a warehouse department with major impact on the success of a dairy within service levels, product quality and financial performance. Execute warehouse site business plans for own area of responsibility. Challenge status quo on KPIs in order to improve overall performance via continuous improvement.

  • Ensures that the department complies with Arla Foods’ standards and policies as well as the applicable law and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Manages and develops the warehouse management team to ensure effective management of people and the daily operation.
  • Responsible for target setting and and performance management.
  • Suggests solutions for improvement and resource optimisation and ensures continuous improvement.
  • Proactively participates in strategic projects and Capex processes.
  • Ensures the daily quality of products and services.
  • Ensures coordination of supply chain activities between the various production areas, sites and vendors.
  • Responsible for daily labour planning and transport in order to ensure deliveries.
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with external and internal customers.
  • Maintains and develops employees’ competencies and skills according to warehouse needs and Arla Foods’ standards and policies.
  • Ensures compliance with delivery agreements from the production sites.
  • Develops KPIs and follows up on delivery services issues to the distribution department.
  • Participates in projects, courses and other development activities.

Educational background/Experience

  • Skilled education within logistics, warehousing or a management degree.
  • +3 years of people management experience and +5 years of experience with handling of goods, preferably food products.
