Graduate Legal Assistant, Greenstone Equity Partners, Dubai, UAE

 *This role is suitable for a recent Law graduate with an interest in Contract Law in an in-house role*


Overview of the Position

Greenstone Equity Partners is seeking an intelligent, motivated individual to work in its Legal department, assisting the General Counsel in the full range of legal issues pertaining to an SME, which includes drafting, reviewing and negotiating all company contracts, handling litigation, drafting internal policies, conducting legal research, provide timely advice and guidance on all legal matters and keeping up-to-date with new and amended regulations pertaining to the company’s business. The successful candidate will have a solid training in Law, preferably with a number of years’ experience working for a similar sized company, with a knowledge UAE rules and regulations and a fundamental understanding of drafting legal documentation.

Specifics of the Position


The role will require the candidate to, amongst other tasks:

  1. General administrative tasks for the General Counsel.
  2. Conduct legal research and keep abreast of any changes to applicable regulations.
  3. Work with the Partner Relations team to populate, review and negotiate the company’s agreements with its potential clients.
  4. Work with all departments to draft, review and negotiate all company contracts, including employment agreements, audit agreements, and any third-party service agreements.
  5. Communicate key contract terms with relevant internal stakeholders.
  6. Draft and update internal policies.


Skills and Qualifications of the Successful Candidate

Greenstone is seeking individuals who are highly motivated, passionate and intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior roles. In addition, outstanding candidates for this role will possess:

  • A strong education background, with a degree from a reputable university.
  • Analytical skills – the candidate must be highly analytical and able to examine the facts related to cases and contracts.
  • Judgement and reason – the candidate needs to have sound judgment and be able to examine the facts at hand to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, as well as exceptional written and spoken English. The candidate must be able to express themselves clearly and succinctly.
  • The ability to work effectively on their own. The candidate must be a real self-starter, highly responsive and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • An interest in pursuing a legal career working in-house for a company.
