Job description
  • Establish and build HSSE policies and HSSE management systems for all IKEA sites.
  • Support all Stores’ Managers in implementing the HSSE policies requirements at IKEA Sites.
  • Provides advice and assistance to Top Management that will enable them to discharge their responsibilities under the HSSE Policies.
  • Identify all HSSE Risks in SO and IKEA Sites and raise them to top management. Prepare action plans and get management approvals.
  • Prepare SO HSSE Budget and verify stores’ HSSE Budget.
  • Set the company HSSE Objectives and monitor the performance.
  • Take actions to protect the company’s co-workers, Customers and assets.
  • Review and approve all new projects’ HSSE requirements such as constructions’ HSSE Systems.
  • Communicate all local and Inter IKEA legislation changes to IKEA Staff.    
  • Monitors HSSE performance in IKEA SO & Stores and the implementation of the HSSE Policies, Standards and Procedures.
  • Obtain and maintain the international HSSE Certificates such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001
  • Collect all HSSE Statistics monthly and share it with top management yearly or when required.
  • Study all incidents and identify generic preventive actions which help to prevent incident from happing again in all IKEA Sites.
  • Support stores to obtain all government HSSE Licenses.
  • Review and approve all HSSE documents before communicating to IKEA Staff and periodically.
  • Review and approve all HSSE contracts and agreements internally and externally.
  • Advise functions’ heads on HSSE requirements. 

Qualification
  • Bachelors or Master degree in Safety.
  • NEBOSH IGC

Experience

  • Retail and/or home furnishing experience
  • Experience in Safety / Security Management
  • Experience of creating and implementing fact-based strategic plans, setting budgets, and following up goals
