SPARK Facility Project Manager - Construction, Emerson, KSA

 Overall Purpose of the Role

 

 

The Project Manager has the overall responsibility for the execution of the construction of Emerson’s New Manufacturing Facility project at SPARK in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This includes facilitating business continuity in the project through a complete understanding of the business requirements including design, layout, machinery integration, facility approval, certification, registration in Government and Customer systems. 

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create, Align, modify strategies for execution of Emerson’s New Manufacturing Facility project at SPARK project, reporting on progress to all stakeholders
  • Select and evaluate consultants / vendors of projects as per set criteria, budget and guidelines
  • Driving project scope & requirement including engineering, design, layout, procurement, construction, plant commissioning, IT (Hardware & Software), ERP Systems, resources, including overall cost, schedule, quality, and plant performance associated with the project assigned.
  • Overall management of all aspects of the project performed by Emerson, including work done within BUs / Operations and their consolidation plan, shifting, approvals, quality plans etc.
  • Assurance of driving HSE requirements including HSE Reviews, certification, and specification.
  • Organize and lead communication and update meetings with all stakeholders, and project team to address any risk/issues
  • Develop control guidelines, processes, instructions, and templates to facilitate management of projects and disseminate to all stakeholders
  • Capex / Spend approvals and monitoring – Capex / Assets – identification of machineries, equipment, project costs. Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual spend commitments with continuous tracking of financial aspects of the project ensuring completeness within approved budget and timelines
  • Implement governance standards across the project and programs, including tracking, monitoring and updating the status of the project’s deliverables.
  • Managing Local nuances / Various Government & Non-Govt. agencies. Tackling and addressing any concerns from Localities as well as various involved Govt / Non-Govt. authorities
  • Ensuring pre-scope project plan is communicated to all BUs/stakeholders together with their individual responsibilities.
  • Track progress & Evaluate performance of consultants/vendors of projects against terms and conditions for the achievement of successful results
  • Interface with SPARK & Saudi Aramco management team for required approvals.
  • Preparing and presenting project reports and presentations for internal and external clients.
  • Ensure Quality Assurance in all duties and all works performed.
  • Compliance Monitoring for the new site - Consent to Establish, Consent to Operate, Fire NOC, Factory License, Occupancy Certificate etc.- Application with appropriate document within the given timeframe and obtaining the various licenses as mentioned above from them without red flags. Closing any audit points preapprovals before handover to the business
  • Creating a safety culture within area of responsibility to ensure all work is completed in accordance with Emerson health and safety policies.
  • Ensure integration of sustainability principles in all inputs and outputs of the projects.
  • Accountability for review of unique execution strategies and decision-making processes to address these situations. Lead the internal and/or external problem-solving necessary to arrive at appropriate decisions
  • Manage and maintain relationships/ communication with consultants/ vendors to ensure that the most appropriate and efficient equipment/tools/methods/services are used with optimal cost to ensure successful delivery
  • Review Approve change requests on scope or plan and recommend course of action ensuring alignment to project and business requirements
