Service Sales Specialist, ABB, Abu Dhabi, UAE

You will be working as a Service Sales Specialist and will be the part of Motion Business Area for Service Division based in, Abu Dhabi, UAE. In this role you will be reporting to Service Sales Manager and will be responsible to drive service sales process in collaboration with the Service Sales Manager and/or Service Manager. Generate service sales opportunities and secure profitable sales within the designated area(s). Focus on installed base penetration (IB) and sell the entire Service product portfolio in collaboration with other ABB service units. Build long term customer relationships and ensure immediate response to specific customer needs and issues.

Your responsibilities

  • Prepare growth-oriented sales plans using company tools, own and implement the sales plan. Perform regular status reviews and propose recovery plan in cases of potential order shortfalls. Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering, and aligning to provide a solution and ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Enquiry generation for complete MOSE Service Portfolio. Promote MOSE- Advance services & VAS (Value added services).
  • Maintain activities at site and support with partner workshops if job cannot be performed at site. Ensure that all related activities meet legal and ethical compliance requirements are in accordance with overall company policies & procedures are conducted with employee safety as a priority and are aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Complete Installed base (IB) mapping to ensure that more than 95% of installed base is allotted to site and service level agreements are signed with major accounts. 7-8 customer visits in a week, study the technical specifications and prepare/submit offers for complete MOSE- portfolio and ensure 95% accurate forecasting of orders.
  • Develop service channel partner review and corrective actions, perform energy audit/appraisals MOSE portfolio to promote energy efficiency sales pitch and generate leads using the concept. Hand over the service project/products jobs to PM or OH.
  • Arrange kickoff meeting with respective PM and customers based on project nature, follow up payment’s. Promote drive workshop and follow the sun concept to enhance connected devices in the region.
  • Organize customized technical events to improve ABB’s acceptability with end users and develop innovative business model with authorized workshop partner to support long term service agreements. Follow 7 habits effectively and ensure KPIs as per MOSE service strategy 2025 is met.
  • Promote a culture that embraces continuous process improvement, personal accountability, teamwork, and customer service to achieve objectives and improve operational productivity and customer relations. Exhibit the ability to effectively work simultaneously on many priorities that change frequently.

Your background

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering .
  • Minimum 8 + years of professional experience.
  • Proven track record as a service sales engineer for motors & drives services. (Knowledge on drive services will be advantage ). Background in digital solutions and selling service agreements is a plus.
  • Previous engagement and customer relationships with major government end-users entities and COG customers in the region.
  • Innovative mind and interest to explore new ideas and build strong relationships – excellent networking, out-of-the-box thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Relentless ownership, dedication, and thoroughness.
  • Good Communications & presentation skills.
  • Excellent level of English & Arabic required.
