Senior Vice President, Strategy, M&A, Pricing and Analytics - EEMEA

Overview
• The SVP Business Excellence is responsible for: Strategy; Mergers & Acquisitions; Analytics; Pricing & Interchange; Sales Excellence & Business Transformation for the Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (EEMEA) region.
• Leads the development of corporate strategies and objectives, based on deep analytical insights, supported by defining and implementing bespoke pricing and interchange frameworks that enable the region to advance its key goals, and complemented with mergers and acquisitions where applicable.
• This role involves close partnership with regional management team to design, evaluate and advance strategies that drive the region’s growth and innovation agenda.
• The role involves making holistic assessments and plans along strategic, customer, financial, regulatory, risk and feasibility angles.

Responsibilities
• Overall:
- Provides short and long-term strategic recommendations to the business’s executives that are meant to develop and capitalize business opportunities.
- Establishes collaborative and trusting relationships with the business’s key internal leaders to ensure a free flow of ideas and information across the business, leading to suitable strategy formulation and overall business performance enhancement
- Represents region at internal and external events, promoting knowledge sharing and thought leadership
- Manages a high-performing team, conducts goal setting and performance appraisal processes, coaches and develops employees as an organizational resource
• Strategy:
- Engages and supports the business in numerous fronts in defining and refining business strategies with a specific focus on designing and implementing new strategic approaches, ideas, and processes that will grow the business and deliver measurable results
- Builds analytical models and business cases; performs regular financial, competitive, performance, and market analyses in order to evaluate opportunities
- Establishes KPIs that the business will measure performance against and determine the effectiveness of the implemented strategies
- Drives awareness and insightful analyses of the market and competitive trends
• Mergers & Acquisitions:
- Oversees all M&A and investment activities regionally
- Drives strategic acquisitions and investments by partnering with business to identify, evaluate and execute investments that support the region’s growth strategy
- Plays a leading role in identifying and screening acquisition ideas and developing a prioritization pipeline of targets aligned to strategic initiatives
- Leads some aspects of the acquisition process including valuation, cross-functional due diligence, coordination with external investment bankers and financial advisors, structuring of transactions, negotiations and presenting findings to executive management
• Analytics & Insights:
- Leads the team which does measurement, analysis, insights and reporting of business, financial, operational and administrative data for purposes of understanding, optimizing & driving business decisions.
- Builds the regional Analytics function, transforming it into a global center of excellence.
• Pricing & Interchange:
- Fosters pricing and interchange innovation to become a transformation agent supporting the evolution of markets into a more robust business environment for Mastercard through sustainable revenue growth and diversification, targeting untapped opportunities and enhancement of Mastercard’s competitiveness.
- Defines economic frameworks which ensure the competitiveness of Mastercard’s product and services and the alignment with country and regional goals
- Lead all pricing and interchange initiatives for the region, which includes the review, approvals and implementation of all modifications to rates and structures.
• Sales Excellence:
- Manages sales incentive compensation program.
- Develops effective capacity planning models and prioritizes & delivers product training priorities.
- Leads penetration and optimization of all sales core capabilities including account plans, KPIs and quarterly business reviews.
- Ensures disciplined following of sales process – from opportunities to deals to contracts.

• The position reports into the Executive Vice President of Market Development for the EEMEA region.
