JOB PURPOSE:
The Sales Intern will contribute to the achievement of sales targets by supporting the sales team, coordinating sales activities and maintaining good customer relationships.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop sales presentations, including research and potential sales pitch across products and multiple product categories.
- Reporting the sales team’s performance, preparing presentations, and present it when required.
- Research competitors prices, products and marketing initiatives.
- Support Sales Executives Carry out sales calls, targeting high sales areas for maximum efficiency.
- Assist sales team in solving problems that the customers face answering their request to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Support Sales Executives and distribution partners in the sale of products, including training, sales meetings, technical expertise and marketing support.
- Propose ideas to help maximise sales and build upon existing strategies that have provided great results in the past.
- Maintain the inventory, keep an eye on the timely completion of all the required paperwork, and enhance the business’s operational smoothness.
- Work towards maintaining a positive relationship with all our esteemed customers.
- Assist new staff in handling customer problems and initiating them with Abbott’s work culture.
- Represent Abbott in a professional manner that aligns with company image, ensuring activities stay in line with legal and ethical standards
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- An interest in working in sales and a familiarity with the current sales techniques.
- Good organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills required to deal with internal and external customers.
- An awareness of everything commercial in the current day and age, business familiarity and understanding.
- Willingness to learn, actively solicits feedback and constructive criticism from others.
