The Role:
The fundamental responsibility is to lead the organization Information and technology strategic goals and digital objectives. This role will work with the board of directors and with the executive committee to design, build and execute the strategy and implement a fully digital transformational as the group must be at the forefront and best in class.
The CIO/CDO will drive the IT operations and take a strategic stance on updating its software and applications. This will require developing the ‘digital transformational journey’ from start to finish. The direction requires a strong leader and expert of transformation who can collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and drive the journey to success. A leader who has designed, built and rolled out a full transformation is needed for the critical hire.
To be successful in this leadership role this profile will have led strategic and analytical decisions, will have excellent communication skills at board level and will collaborate and communicate with their team and stakeholders internally and externally.
A track record working with both MNC’s and conglomerate businesses where they have successfully rolled out at full transformational with impeccable results.
First 12-month expectations:
- Will have advised the board members, and executive committee on the road map and strategic direction in which the group needs to go. Plan, build and execute a digital vision for the organization and its subsidiary and to identify key solutions, applications and technology opportunities for differentiating digital capabilities and solutions to be the leader in its field.
- Will champion the full design and process to identify and evaluate internal digital asset capabilities and strengths, key areas for development and product enhancement.
- Will champion the development and execute the digital business strategy and roadmap and ensures its alignment and integration with the enterprise strategic planning process.
- Will be the champion and subject matter expert a single point of contact and executive oversight for all digital initiatives and transformation projects.
- Ensures that the system, solutions and enterprise is developing across all digital assets and capabilities that are necessary to survive and and add significant value in the midterm and long term to achieve the firm’s goals.
- A proven change agent in leading the organizational short, medium and long terms changes required to create and sustain enterprise digital capabilities agreed with the boards vision.
- Delivers and transacts reports on digital business solutions and metrics that represent progress against digital goals and the board future plans.
- Will have built relationships, change agents and gained buy in from internal and external stakeholders, vendors.
- Will lead and manage and coach the IT, Digital, analytical, and tech experts and champions in executing the enterprise's digital business mission.
- Will have coached ad nurtured the with the IT leaders and IT organization design to enhance develop and present new digital business solutions to create a competitive edge for the firm’s vision.
Experience, Qualifications and Understanding:
- A proven track record in delivering a full digital transformation of a conglomerate group with sales in excess of $3BN.
- Strong business, commercial and strategic knowledge of conglomerate organisations
- Ability to effectively drive people, process and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment
- Proven record of change, digital transformation and roll out. A profile who can come in design, execute and deliver the plan and maximise the digital journey.
