ABOUT THE
ROLE
Provide strategic & operational HR
expertise that contribute to achieving the business goals and DHL’s bottom line
of Employer of Choice through:
Participation as a key member of the Senior
Management Team (SMT), influencing the plans direction of the business and
people strategy;
Propose & implement initiatives that drive and reinforce DHL’s culture;
Design, development and execution of organisational effectiveness and
development programs;
Design and manage HR policies and best in class HR practices that strengthen
DHL’s competitive position in the market
YOUR TASKS
Performance Management:
Educates business line leaders on all aspects of
the performance management process and the tools
Identifies opportunities to support the
functions in achieving their performance targets
Works with functional heads and the Area HRD
team to ensure effective talent management processes are in place
Rewards & Remuneration:
Ensure that the compensation & benefits
strategy is designed to attract, retain and motivate high performing employees.
Manage annual salary review process to ensure DHL is competitive in the
marketplace and that personnel costs meet budget while still rewarding high
performers
Ensure that the Company’s total compensation and
benefits packages are competitive with the market. This will include planning
and implementation of various benefits program from time to time to position
DHL competitively
Ensure that recognition and incentive programmes
are effectively promoted and are effective in recognising high performers and
rewarding achievement of key objectives
Advise Country Management on all HR related
matters & provide HR consultancy & services to the Hub, MERN,
Global/Regional teams and non-Express entities (GBS, CSI) based in the UAE
Implement and monitor HR policies, standards and
processes ensuring HR best practices and alignment to Global HR guidelines and
the Country labour laws
To study labour market and wage trends, various
relevant Government labour legislation from time to time and ensure DHL
awareness and compliance with the law. This will also include ensuring that DHL
keep abreast of various development and interpreting implications of the
legislation that may affect the Company
Recruitment & Resourcing:
Ensure effective resource planning and
forecasting of workforce requirements
Ensure that all DHL recruitment is managed to
ensure that the best possible staff are hired / promoted, including using
Regional Guidelines and monitoring developments in recruitment methodology to
ensure best practice recruitment methods are used
Employee Engagement:
Use the EOS survey feedback to measure staff
morale and organizational climate; then develop and implement effective strategies
and action plans to improve target areas
Support the Functional Managers to enhance
Employee Engagement & Active Leadership for their teams
Creates innovative employee engagement
solutions/activities and leads the development and implementation
Drives the company culture & values through
continuous initiatives and Corporate Social Responsibilities programs
HR Team:
Determine organization structure, roles and
responsibility and performance targets for the function
Develop a culture of quality, service
excellence, flexibility and efficiency
Coach, develop and provide leadership to the HR
team (12 HR team members) to ensure they maximize their potential, achieve key
business objectives and act as role models for the Company vision and values
Identify training needs and opportunities to
develop a highly skilled functional department

resilience 8-10 years of HR experience with at least 5 years in a Senior
Management role
Fluency in English
communication is a pre-requisite and Arabic Language is a big Advantage
Prior team management
experience is essential
BA/BSC in Business /HR
(MSc/MBA Degree is a plus)
Professional HR affiliations (HR Institute of Management or equivalent)
