The Regional Manager Supply Chain and Distribution must maintain a sound working relationship with other managers within the organisation.

  • Fully accountable for Solids Control & Waste Management operations through-out the region.
  • Ensure service quality is continually enhanced. Develop and motivate staff to ensure consistently high standards of performance and effectiveness.
  • Manage Workshop, Operations support team and regional tech support team across the region
  • Introduction of new product lines and Business Development in new geographical areas within the region.
  • Setup strategies in conjunction with Country and Sales managers to generate consistent growth across the region based on expectations from Company and Senior Management directives.
  • Ensure adequate controls are in place to ensure timely deliveries of finished products in KSA and UAE manufacturing facilities .
  • Ensure adequate controls of working capital across the region including manufacturing facilities.
  • Ensure highest standards of HSE.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILTY:

Position affects the following:

•    Sub-Saharan Africa P&L
•    Working Capital
•    Cost Control.
•    Business Development.

Responsible for:
•    Actively promote HSE.
•    Accountable for the profitability of WSS MEA business
•    Provision of Forecasts on weekly and monthly basis on activities, revenue, P&L, Balance sheet, equipment utilisation and personnel.
•    Develop and execute strategies for expansion into new product lines and geographic areas.
•    Manage customer contact and support in-country operations when required.
•    Manage tech service staff utilisation ensuring personnel is utilised accordingly.
•    Manage Quality assurance and efficiencies at regional workshop in Jebel Ali.
•    Working with engineering department on ensuring safety and timely project execution (Offshore and onshore installations).
•    Liaison with engineering department for technical queries and proposal development.
•    Promote and Ensure “Raising the Bar” program is implemented in the region.
•    Authorise company expenses in accordance with policy.
•    Train, motivate and develop staff to ensure continual high standards of performance.
•    Manage the implementation of company policies regarding compliance, timekeeping, holiday planning, performance reviews and disciplinary procedures.
•    Promotion and implementation of training at all levels of our organization.
•    Provide Support as required to other WellSite Services locations.
•    Travel to any country and/or region depending on operational needs. 

Extensive travelling is expected.
 
To engage in any other activity within his / her capability as requested by line management.

 

BEHAVIORAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

Extensive experience of offshore and onshore drilling operations, activities, equipment and use of same.

Understanding of FluidControl products and services and how they can be best utilised.

Knowledge of the region and local culture.

Full understanding of NOV policies and adhere to them at all times.

Competent in the following:
•    Motivation skills.

•    Report writing.
•    Compilation and concise, accurate technical and commercial proposals.
•    Excellent communication skills.
•    Regular financial reporting.
•    Preparation of annual budget plans and updates.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

Qualifications: BSc engineering degree.
Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing similar operations on service companies providing services on drilling operations onshore and offshore.
  • Solids Control and Waste management experience


Skills: Being able to be a team player and to manage a group of highly skilled individuals.    

Quality Assurance: To ensure that the Company’s Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) system and procedures are adhered to
Training: Train, motivate and develop staff in all FluidControl product lines or any other product or system within personal competence and capabilities.
Health, Safety and Environment: Ensure full awareness of and compliance with the requirements of all company HSE procedures and policies.

Actively ensure his own health and safety, together with that of fellow workers, or any 3rd parties at all times.

To ensure that all accidents and/or incidents are reported in a timely manner (within 12 hours) to the Safety Department and Line Management.
