Short Description:
Installs SAS software solutions and any required supporting products for knowledge sharing and demonstration purposes as assigned
Performs SAS Administration of the SAS Platform at customer sites
Scopes and defines work effort, supports resource planning and estimates cost on technical aspects of the project. Conducts project requirements gathering
Work on consulting projects and special projects as assigned; acts as technical lead as assigned
Provides reliable delivery of targeted project results through role as expert in the application of specific SAS methodologies, projects and technologies
Leverages detailed technical knowledge to support sales opportunities and implementations across solution domains
May perform advanced or complex prototyping for SAS foundation technologies
May conduct pre-sales implementations to prove functional capabilities, including on-site support as required
May assist in the response to RFI/RFPs utilizing the RFP Repository and crafting thorough and compelling answers
Participates in product and solution training to acquire and maintain a detailed level of product knowledge of core components of SAS offerings
Understands, utilizes and communicates best practice methodologies and industry standards internally and externally. Provides leadership and mentoring to other technical SAS resources
Performing other duties, as assigned

Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related area and a minimum of 10 years overall technical experience.
    Experience in SAS encompassing entire SAS EBI suite of tools with in-depth understanding of Base SAS, Macros, PROC SQL, IML, and SAS Enterprise Guide
    Minimum 5 years hands on experience with SAS Management Console, SAS EG, SAS DI, SAS VA
    Minimum 2 years hands on experience with SAS web tools, SAS Stored Processes, Macro, Graph,Stat, OLAP Cube, Information map, SAS BI Dashboard Knowledge of Enterprise Miner, Model Manager, Base SAS code is a MUST Conceptual understanding of data profiling, fuzzy matching, entity resolution, etc.

Preferred:

    Good understanding of predictive analytics, data quality and data management concepts
    Ability to manage mid-to-large SAS development projects; experience in project management is a plus
    Understanding of configuration management, change management and release management concepts and how they relate to application development and administration
    Experience in systems support, user support, customer support or training of enterprise class software and/or hardware
    Detailed knowledge of security, performance, server design, cross-platform architecture, various topologies
    Ability to relay and receive information in various
    Demonstrated ability to present complex technical programs and concepts.
