As one of the pillars of Wellness, I will safeguard the Eat With Six Senses program and make sure that this program and all other nutritional brand initiatives are fully embraced within the Purchasing Guidelines. All aspects of these wellness and nutrition initiatives will be adopted and implemented throughout the purchasing function with particular focus on growing or making our own products.

Sustainability is at the core of everything we do at Six Senses. As Purchasing Manager, I will ensure all directives on environmental protection and preservation, re-usage and minimum wastage, purchasing and packaging such as the abolition of single-use plastic by 2022, social responsibility and all other practices documented in the Sustainability Guidelines are followed to maintain a harmonious and sensitive approach to our environment and cultural surroundings.

In this role, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Purchasing function to provide exceptional product within brand operating standards across the preparation and processing of requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment, storage and stock takes. I will also regularly review suppliers and contracts to ensure conformity with Six Senses requirements.

By keeping abreast of industry trends and practices and continually updating my knowledge and skills, I will source and purchase the most suitable products for the operation that are relevant and in line with Six Senses policies plus wellness and sustainability practices.

Purchasing practices will meet the requirements of the Six Senses nutrition and sustainability platforms, while vendor and market assessment, ordering, stocktakes and storage will be undertaken at the required times to ensure all stock is on hand, is of the right quality and properly stored in line with Six Senses standards.

I will instill a fair and transparent Vendor/Supplier Vetting process and hold our vendors/suppliers to Six Senses guidelines and initiatives.

My constant interaction with and provision of support to and communication with other departments is essential to the smooth functioning of the operation. I will perform any additional duties given to me by the Director of Finance.
Qualification :     To execute the position of Purchasing Manager, I have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar or greater role in international hotels with proven results. I have a minimum of a Diploma in Business/Purchasing and Supply and more than three years’ experience in a similar role.

I am a personally involved, visible and proactive manager with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. I possess a track record of proven results within the purchasing function.

I have an intuitive sense for motivating people, a passion for excellence and an understanding of the sophisticated needs of luxury customers and the hosts who serve them.

I am able to live in a remote environment for extended periods of time.
