As our IT Support Engineer you are responsible for the day-to-day activities around the information technology needs that enable the Fastned teams to fully focus on their job! You will take full ownership in ensuring that the hardware and services for our European offices and teams in the Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdom, Belgium, France and Switzerland work reliably, securely and smoothly. As the go-to tech support gurus, you & the team are responsible for the purchasing, inventory, configuration, deployment and support of employee hardware, office equipment and software licenses. You seek best available pricing, research and close the best deals.


Next to that, the role comes with another layer: you build relationships with vendors, providers, and negotiate the most reliable delivery, support and service. Furthermore, you will create policies and procedures for office IT, so that we are all set for scaling further.

The role will be based in our Amsterdam headquarters, where you will become part of a fun & diverse team. As part of your in-depth onboarding, you will attend a series of workshops to learn all about electric mobility and fast charging infrastructure.     You are experienced in the setup and scaling of office technology needs in a fast growing environment;
    You have excellent and in-depth knowledge of technical management and information analysis of computer hardware and software systems;
    You have a degree in a relevant field (certifications are a plus);
    You have a strong analytical mind, are detail-oriented and highly organised;
    You are a creative out-of-the-box thinker in technical issue analysis and identifying opportunities to apply corrective actions;
    You are a strong communicator with interpersonal skills essential for interacting with all colleagues of the Fastned team;
    You are well-versed in writing manuals, explanations and support messages, conveying information clearly and accurately;
    And last but not least, contributing to accelerating the energy transition is something that strongly motivates you.
