Job Description

We are currently recruiting for Mechanical Technician for 1 year (Extendable) Contract to be based in Oman. Candidate should be available in Oman with Transferable Visa  / can join on short notice from anywhere.

Minimum Educational Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engg. / ITI Mechanical with 8 years of experience. GCC working experience will be highly preferred. Must have Shut down working experience.
Desired Candidate Profile

Applicants with strong technical background in Mechanical disciplines with 3-5 yrs of experience in oil and gas refinery or petrochemical industry.
• Work experience in general refinery/oil & gas production asset in Construction, Operational or Maintenance.
• Ability to read & understand P&ID’s, site plans, plot plans and work-pack information.
• Ability to determine equipment type based on visual inspection, tag plate data and supporting information.
• Familiar with local requirements and processes for gaining access to areas within facilities.
• Familiarity with training & certification requirements for site induction/permit to work/risk assessment/confined space entry/manual handling/working at height/safety training etc.
• Ability to communicate technical information to a diverse audience both orally and in writing.
