Mechanical Engineer- Milaha, Qatar
Description
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
• Provide and supervise effective and efficient maintenance of all mechanical utilities & facilities
• Gather and analyze data, blueprints, and reports
• Determine facility and equipment specifications
• Analyze project costs and support Line Manager in preparation of budgets
• Design and oversee the implementation of facility expansion, layout, various systems, and quality controls
• Evaluate operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies
• Develop processing plans and optimize resource allocation
• Plan and coordinate infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities
• Coordinate and oversee contractors performing maintenance activities
• Prepare reports and compliance documentation
• Collect and enter data necessary to update the facility and equipment management software
• Provide on the basis of programmed activities and operating conditions, prompt notification of spare part requirements to compensate deviations from routine and special maintenance demands
• Provide regular check and follow up on security incident reports and damages to property for further action and resolution
• Manage insurance claims process on accidental damages to property
• Ensure that the quality of machine, equipment or plant maintenance operations, including those carried out by third parties, is in line with reference standards, SOP’s and O&M
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards
• Perform job related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Professional Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering
- Certification and Registration as an Engineer in the State of Qatar
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 6 - 8 years practical Mechanical engineering experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in facility management
Geographic Experience:
- Relevant professional experience in Qatar
Computer Skills:
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD, CAFM, MS Office
Language Skills:
- Business fluent English (verbal and written)
Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the building process and construction principles
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes
