Meetings and Events Manager - Zabeel House by Jumeirah the Greens, Dubai
About the Role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Meetings and Events Manager to join the Sales Department at Zabeel House by Jumeirah the Greens. The main purpose of the role is to manage overall events operations, including coordination of staff activities, budget & cost management in order to successfully achieve sales target while ensuring that all guests are given a consistent high level of service through each events that reflects the Group’s world-class brand proposition in line with our life style concept.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
Coordinate all events manpower and operations support team to ensure a flawless on time delivery of event and maximum client satisfaction.
Provide quality service to customers in all assigned tasks, to provide services aligned with group’s quality of services and values at all times.
Conduct property inspections and make recommendations on set-up and planning to maximize on yield whilst continually striving to meet the needs of the customer.
Manage the day to day operations of the Events function by providing guidance, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards and liaise with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels to ensure smooth flow of operations.
Ensure compliance to all relevant Health, Safety and Environment management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity so that Company provides world class and luxurious hospitality services to its guests.
Motivate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for participating in change initiatives, programs and projects taking into account best practices, improvement of processes and productivity improvement.
Answer all incoming inquiries pertaining to weddings, solemnization, social events such as birthdays, anniversaries as well as official dinners to present services and Group’s know-how and explain how it fit client requirements.
Maintain a current knowledge of Company services in order to cross sell across the entire Company.
Conduct market benchmark in order to properly review products and branding and ensure creative selling and innovative edge over our competitors.
Evaluate the delivery of all events to ensure they meet the needs and requirements of customers and that their concerns were taken into account if any.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Essential:
Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality or relevant field from an accredited and renowned University.
At least 4 years of experience in relevant field (preferably within the international hospitality industry); 2 years of which in managerial position
Advanced knowledge of Meetings & Events operations
Very good command of speaking, reading, and writing English language.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
Strong organizing and planning skills
Project management, planning and implementation skills.
