Job Description:

The Senior Field Service Engineer provides post sale technical support for the UAE Armed Forces Communications Equipment.

Responsibilities:

Interfacing directly with customer by providing technical feedback, ad-hoc demonstrations of new equipment and firmware capabilities.

Supervising technical performance of Level III workshop technicians to include the generation of technical reports.

Conducting ongoing training and critique of workshop staff in programming, installation, troubleshooting and repair of all Falcon II and Falcon III products.

Assist J6 and workshop manager with technical project management as required.

Liaise with Rochester personnel to discuss customer-based requirements, generate and validate firmware for release to customer.

Create presentations and technical drawings as directed by customer or L3Harris staff.

Support sales though opportunity lifecycle and participate in evening meetings and reviews as required.

Assist L3Harris Sales, Programs, Systems & TCS staff with, demonstrations, trials, site acceptances, and Factory Acceptance Testing as required by L3Harris and customer.

Support Level 3+ maintenance activities RF-5800H-MP, RF-5800V-MP, RF-5800V-HH, RF-5800M-MP, RF-5800M-HH, RF-7800M-MP, RF-7800H-MP & Base Station, RF-7850M (all models to include airborne), RF-7850S.

Work site will be UAE PG Workshops with occasional requirement to work additional hours at locations designated by Sales or PM staff as required.

Champion L3Harris Sales and PM activities to ensure strong and enduring customer relationship

US Citizen required to maintain and manage Type I equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

US Citizenship

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

4 years of experience with the programming (CPA/DCC/waveforms), deployment and support of Harris tactical radios and ancillaries

Experience with Level 3+ Maintenance

2+ years of international experience

Preferred Qualifications:

International experience preferably in the Middle East

Ability to plan and deploy integrated radio & network architectures

Understand IP schemes and program routers and switches

Perficient with Microsoft Office including Visio and PowerPoint

Ability to interact professionally with challenging, technically proficient customers on complex technical details

Ability to operate at high tempo work cycle and initiative to start value added projects when required

Proficient in Arabic

Experience working in an overseas customer focused environment

Experience with installation of Harris systems in vehicular & shelter platforms

Understanding of military and C4I ConOps
