Engineer, Energy Management- ADNOC Group, Abu Dhabi
Job Purpose
Monitor and report the energy practices, updates and status to provide with the needed support for the company plants and operations with respect to energy efficiency. Recommend on energy criteria required for the current equipment or planned projects. Coordinate the updates on Energy Management with the concerned teams to ensure aligned practices.
Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)
Energy Efficiency
Calculate the emissions, flaring, energy savings, energy consumptions etc. for all operations and projects to ensure proper tracking of energy efficiency.
Analyse the energy efficiency data to ensure proper performance in line with the company directions.
Recommend and report the energy-related updates and calculations to ensure timely sharing of the updates with the management and related teams.
Advise on any improper or deviation of energy efficiency for equipment, operation conditions, projects or activities to ensure the needful support.
Energy Standards
Develop the energy limits and standards for all assets, operations and activities; transportation, materials handling, machining etc.
Design and recommend the energy reports, forms and templates to ensure proper record.
Maintain and update the energy record to ensure availability of information.
Conduct energy-related audits to ensure the desired compliance by the respective team.
Participate in deploying or developing the Energy Management Systems and Certification in line with company directions, ADNOC Code of Practice, and International Certificates; ISO50001.
Energy Communication
Communicate and train the operations focal points and process trainers understand with respect to energy consumption how their activities and behaviour contributes to the achievement of energy objectives and targets.
Draft and propose different types of communications, on timely basis, for energy related targets and objectives to all relevant personnel.
Develop jointly with training department energy related training materials and annual energy training plan.

Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section s / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management
Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Department in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Reports
Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor s degree in Chemical Engineering or any Engineering / Technical Qualification.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
6 years of experience, including experience in process, environment or chemical-related occupations.
Understanding of energy balances and energy efficiency calculations for various processes.
Aware of Energy Management Systems and its requirements and standards.
Experience in Petrochemicals, Oil & Gas or similar industries is preferred.
